🇺🇸🐾 Fireworks season is here, and now is the time to prepare. 🐾🇺🇸

For many dogs, the sounds of fireworks can be overwhelming and frightening. A little planning now can make a big difference in helping your pup feel safe and secure this Fourth of July.

If your dog has a history of anxiety during fireworks, don’t wait until the last minute to contact your veterinarian about calming medications or supplements. Veterinary offices can get especially busy this time of year, and some medications may need to be started before the holiday for the best results.

A few reminders to help keep your dog safe:

🐾 Make sure ID tags and microchip information are current
🐾 Take a recent photo of your dog
🐾 Exercise earlier in the day
🐾 Create a quiet, comfortable space indoors
🐾 Use calming music or turn on the TV to help mask outside noises
🐾 Keep your dog indoors during fireworks
🐾 Only take your dog outside to potty on a secure leash
🐾 Stay calm and offer reassurance

A little preparation goes a long way toward keeping your dog safe and stress-free this holiday.

🐾 Lace up your walking shoes and grab your leash—it’s time for our next Four Paws & Fellowship hike! 🐾

Join us on Saturday, June 27 at 9:00 AM for a 90-minute walk along the beautiful Trinity River as we combine our traditional Group Training Outings with our new Four Paws & Fellowship community.

📍 Trailhead at Clearfork
4801 Edwards Ranch Rd
Fort Worth, TX 76109

Bring:
💧 Water for you and your pup
🦮 A leash (non-retractable preferred)
💩 P**p bags
🦴 Treats
👟 Comfortable walking shoes

This is a great opportunity to practice real-world training skills, meet fellow dog lovers, and enjoy a morning of fellowship outdoors.

Please remember to be mindful of doggy etiquette:
• Keep dogs on leash and under control at all times
• Avoid nose-to-nose greetings and close sniffing
• Maintain space between dogs
• Be aware of children, runners, cyclists, and other trail users
• Clean up after your pup

Dogs should be comfortable around people and other dogs in a public setting and up to date on vaccinations.

Nothing beats a summer vacation with family. ☀️🐾

Rigley, Bella, and their cousin Hank recently stayed with us for a quick getaway filled with playtime, tail wags, and lots of fun. These three made the most of their mini vacation, and we loved having them at Pupper Place!

We can’t wait to welcome this adorable crew back for their next stay. 💛

The best part about being alive? Sometimes, there’s a dog. 🐾

We’re pretty sure that’s true after spending another week surrounded by happy tails, playful zoomies, and sweet faces. Watching these pups run, play, and enjoy every moment never gets old. 💛

Monty has entered the chat…

Mom said, “Stay off the couch.”

Monty heard, “Believe in yourself. Follow your dreams. Never let anyone tell you what you can’t achieve.”

And now here we are. 🐾🛋️😂

The moral of the story? Confidence is key… especially when you’re a German Shepherd who weighs as much as a small human and thinks every piece of furniture was purchased specifically for you.

White, cream, gold, dark gold, red, and black… if they come with wagging tails and sweet personalities, we’re fans of every color.
