With outrage and a very heavy heart, I've got some very bad news. I wasn't ready to accept this gut punch but it got me anyway! THOR was murdered!! He was chased and gunned down on Sat 3/14/2020 but suffered barely alive till appox 2 on Sunday 3/15 /2020. He was shot execution-style and back of his head in a field he had used to watch over our neighborhood for 15 years. Free with no issues never bothering anybody. Making lots of lifetime long friends.This gentle 15yr old Guardian was circled like some sort of prey. By a man on a tractor name Charles that lives right off of cr 803 at the 1st house on the right on cr 706. This cruel monster circled Thor till he was too panicked to even move over and over and over untill coming to a stop and from still up on his tractor he uses a.22cal and from behind shoot him in threw the back of Thor's head and out the bottom of his jaw. I was out of town that evening. The man refused to let any of the neighbors, who also loved Thor or the deputy sheriff remove his body. He said Thor was going to lay right there until the buzzards and coyotes pick his body clean. He said that was to teach us a life lesson. Ok, what lesson,? Is it don't trust you neighbor or don't believe what people say to your face only what they say behind you back! I had just spoke with Charle's not 2 weeks before because I thought my other dog, D**k had ran up the driveway (he didn't though, he was chilling on the couch to whole time I was looking for him..

. For those of you that don't know the story of how Thor came to us I'll give you a bit of history on this truly special pup.
Thor was abandoned with a collar almost completely ingrown around his neck so bad it was barely able to get surgically removed with out the risk of his life, windpipes ability to swallow properly etc. He was approximately 3mo.old when the very young lady(maybe 18) that lived in the house in front of my mom. Just left one day and never returned

I'm Thor's actually owner he didn't really ever belong to Dave Pye he belonged to my mother Judy Pye, Mom had Thor since 2004 and Dave had Capone who passed away a short time before Judy my mom did both were taken too soon and missed very much. If ever Thor becomes a problem or is bothering someone please private message me instantly Jackie my little sister and I have been making sure he comes to the vet clinic with us and has all of his shots and he's on medicine to help him move around better. He did used to have a tag that said "Thor I have a home but like to roam love and treats are welcome please don't fence me in" but somebody took it upon themselves to remove the tag or it got snagged in a fence line or some brush or came off somehow although he did actually wear it with no issues for the first 9 years of his life. He is very lost without Mom and so I appreciate all of you guys lending your love and your front yards because the consistency in his routine and the familiar faces and affection or what helps keep this 14 year old great Pyrenees Young. Just FYI as well as most of you probably already know Thor is deathly afraid of thunder and lightning ironic I know so please be patient with him if he tries to come inside right before a storm. Dave has been out of town a lot lately and I do not believe he's been able to go inside the house that he always knew when he wants to because he has been coming down to my house which is perfectly fine and welcomed and we'll say knocking on the front door to be let in or in actuality knocking us over at the front door trying to get in.
