📣The puppies can not be separated from mom nor transport at this time.

📌Moms and litters should not be housed in the shelter long term due to immature immune systems and susceptibility to infectious conditions such as URI.

recommend radiologist consultation on all images
recommend surgical consultation for surgical repair vs. splint

chose opioids instead of carprofen due to lactating puppies. opioids can transfer into the milk but less risk to development issues with puppies. can cause drowsiness in puppies. also puppies are able to transition to canned food so should be nursing less

8/3/2026: Clara greets me at the kennel door with a fast wagging tail and tippy tap paws. She lets me leash her and walks loosely to and from the potty yard. Inside her kennel she can be seen relaxing quietly on her blanket or standing by the kennel door when she hears someone approaching.

8/4/2026: Carlton was a move adopt this morning. He was leashed easily and walked loosely with a neutral body.

8/10/2026: Lying on his bed but stood when approached. Walked with loose leash, tappy toes and prancy walk like a horse, tail swaying while he walked.
