SBF Animal Rescue Inc SBF (Stoney Brook Farm) Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) family-run 26-acre farm in Harwinton, CT. We are funded solely by private donations.

We rescue animals in need, and provide horse riding lessons, and classes for groups. open on weekends by appointment only.

Rosa Buonomo dedicated 20 years to rescuing animals/serving the community, leaving an indelible mark on our organization.
To continue this vital mission, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Hall as our new President. Maria Hall will fill her mother’s shoes and is committed to advancing the legacy of Rosa Buonomo .
We look forward to this new chapter under Maria Hall’s leadership and thank our supporters for their continued support during this transition

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved owner, Rosa Buonomo , on December 26.2025. She founded SBF Animal Rescue with a vision of rescuing animals and her dedication touched us all. We are deeply grateful for her leadership and legacy.
