Since taking over my mother’s rescue, I’ve learned a lot about people, loyalty, and what family really means. ❤️

It’s crazy what you see when you step back and pay attention to who truly wants to see you succeed and who is actually willing to help you make it happen.

The people I thought would be there for me, support the rescue, donate, or even just call to ask how things are going haven’t shown up the way I expected. And honestly, that’s been an eye-opener.

But at the same time, I’ve seen the people who have stepped up, offered support, and genuinely want to see me succeed. Those are the people I will never forget.

Sometimes you have to take a step back to see who is really in your corner. I’m learning that family isn’t always about blood. Family is about love, loyalty, showing up, and being there when it matters most.

I’m learning that real family isn’t always who you’re related to by blood. It’s who you choose, who chooses you, and who stands beside you when it counts. ❤️🐾

And for that, I’m forever grateful to the people who have shown me what true support really looks like

Laura and I met while serving together in the military, and we’ve been friends for almost 30 years. ❤️ Through all these years, she has been someone I can always count on. She never complains, never hesitates, and is always there for me, no matter what I need.

When I needed help building the chicken runs for the rescue, Laura dropped everything she was doing and drove all the way from Pennsylvania to help. That kind of friendship, love, and support is something you just can’t put into words.

Laura, I honestly can’t thank you enough. Having a friend like you for nearly 30 years is a blessing I will never take for granted. Thank you for always showing up, for your willingness to help, and for being the incredible person you are. The rescue means so much to me, and having you by my side helping make it happen means more than you will ever know. ❤️🐔

Your support means more than you know, and it truly makes a difference in the lives of the animals we care for. We are so grateful to have people like you in our corner. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤️🙏

🐔❤️ One of the joys (and challenges) of running a rescue is that the animals seem to destroy everything right before I can get out to buy replacements! 😂

I’m looking for chicken feeders that anyone may have sitting around and no longer needs. If you have any you’d be willing to part with, I would be so grateful! Every little bit helps when caring for all these animals. 🐓🐥

Thank you so much for any help! ❤️
