Today, we welcomed two beautiful parakeets into our rescue family. 💙🦜 Laney and Cody are now being loved, spoiled, and given all the care they deserve.

Tyson and his girlfriend completely fell in love with them, and we couldn’t be happier to have these two little ones as part of our family.

Welcome home, Laney and Cody! 🥰💚 You are loved beyond measure. 🦜💕

🎉 SO MANY GOOD THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT THE RESCUE! 🎉

Little by little, things are REALLY starting to happen, and I couldn’t be more excited! 🥰🐴🐐

First, we now have hydrants throughout the rescue, which makes getting water to all the animals SO much easier! 💦🙌 One more thing checked off the list!

A HUGE thank-you to my stepfather and Andrew, who have spent hours and hours helping me fix the drainage around the rescue. We’ve worked hard to make sure we don’t have a flooding problem, and I am beyond grateful for everything they have done. ❤️

And my stepdad wasn’t done yet! He also fixed my round bale fixture, so the hay is now nice and secure and won’t collapse. This is going to make feeding the horses SO much easier! 🐴🌾

Right now, he’s helping me work on the barn, and let me tell you… it’s starting to look GOOD! 😍🔨 Little by little, one project at a time, we’re getting there!

The electric fence is up and ready to go! ⚡️🐴 A HUGE thank-you to my son, Tyson, for installing it! I appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

And I cannot say THANK YOU enough to the amazing Veneta Club for all the money raised during the 9/5 fundraiser! 🎉 Your support is making such a difference and helping us get these projects done. We are so incredibly grateful! ❤️

The shed/goat house will be going up shortly! 🐐🏠 I can’t wait to see that one finished!

There is still a LOT to do, but when I look around and see how much has already changed, my heart is SO happy. 🥹❤️

And I know my mother would be SO incredibly happy to see all of this happening. I know she would be smiling seeing the rescue grow, improve, and continue to help the animals she loved so much. ❤️

Waking up early, trying to beat the rain so I can get outside, feed the animals, and hopefully not get completely soaked. 😂🐾🌧️

Rescue life can be exhausting, but honestly, it’s also so therapeutic for me. There’s something incredibly peaceful and healing about spending time with the animals, caring for them, and knowing they’re safe and loved.

I truly love my time with them. ❤️

I know it’s only the end of August, and I’m probably a little crazy 😂, but I’ve already started shopping for Toys for Tots! 🎄🎁

I know it’s crazy that I’m thinking about Christmas and less fortunate children while we’re still in August, but I just want every child to have a wonderful Christmas and wake up with a little extra joy and magic. ❤️🎄

To say I am heartbroken is an understatement. 💔

Today, we lost another animal. Today, we said goodbye to Brandi — the best pig ever. 🐷💔

Two heartbreaking losses in one week. I’ve been crying nonstop, trying to process it all. And then I hear my mom’s voice in my head saying, “I told you this wouldn’t be easy.”

She was right. It isn’t easy.

I know that through my rescue, these animals get the best years, weeks, days, and moments of their lives. I know that we give them love, safety, comfort, and a life they may have never known otherwise.

But knowing that doesn’t make saying goodbye hurt any less.

It’s so incredibly heartbreaking knowing I will never see that sweet little face again. I will never hear her sounds, see her silly ways, or get to love on her again.

Brandi deserved the very best, and I am so grateful that she got to know what love and safety felt like.

Run free, sweet girl. You will forever be loved and missed. 🐷🌈💔
