Team Greyhound Adoption of Ohio

10/04/2026

Hi TGAO Family,

We created an adopters-only community group where TGAO adopters can post pupdates of their hounds, ask questions, and find a trusted adopter dog sitter. (Picnic photos are there as well!)

Please complete the group questions so we can verify that you are an adopter or current foster family.

This private group is for TGAO adopters only, please only request access if you have adopted from TGAO or are a current foster with TGAO. General TGAO fans from across the world can continue to see our updates on this page.

‼️Some reminders for the picnic/fundraiser on Sunday‼️

-If you haven't registered yet, please do so, now! You do not want to miss out on all of the auctions, raffles, food and camaraderie.

-This is a GREYHOUND only event.

-Bring a muzzle. Your greyhound must be muzzled for turnout in the fully fenced enclosure.

-Bring a chair for yourself, a blanket or bed for your greyhound and some p**p bags. We will all need to clean up after our dogs.

-We can take checks or cash at the picnic for the raffles and auctions.

-You might want to bring a bowl and some water for your greyhound. Not sure if the hydrant is working.

-Be prepared to enjoy a beautiful fall outing. Hopefully, you will win some cool items to take home with you!

Coco has had enough of her weird brothers and is REALLY looking forward to meeting some new greyhound friends. She wants you to know that there's a safely fenced area for the dogs to run, lunch is provided, and there are so many fun raffle and silent auction items to bid on and take home.

‼️AVAILABLE‼️

We are looking for a special foster or potential adopter for our lovely boy Tuna AKA Neptune.

Tuna would love nothing more than to nap on a dog bed all day long. He is eager to please and loves to make calm reassuring eye-contact like he is talking with you. He is constantly flipped upside down and lounging. He immediately flops on the ground like a big tuna when you are making dinner and rolls around (he is a terrible sous chef lol!) He is house trained and on a fairly normal schedule, he will alert you by knocking his basket muzzle on the door if he needs an off-schedule potty break. Tuna will paw and wiggle towards you if you dare to stop petting and doting over him. He sleeps through the night 8 hours on a dog bed like a champ! He rubs his face on you for affection and attention.

His current fosters have had him for over a month and say he is a very respectful houseguest, they love him! They just live too far from OSU Vet Center at this time. Tuna has had a tougher than normal recovery and he still has a long road ahead of him. He is currently in bandage and has exercise restrictions and will try to steal items so keep that muzzle on him whenever not directly supervised, he does not mind it at all!

Who we are looking for someone who...
- Lives close to OSU Vet Center (to bring him to vet visits 2x a week).
- Has space for him on the first floor (no stairs for this big boy yet).
- Does NOT have cats
- Does NOT have small/medium sized dogs (he has been getting along wonderfully with 3 other greys in the home)
- Does NOT have small children in the home.
- Preferably lives in a single detached home. He can be quite loud in the crate when left alone but otherwise he manages it.

S*x: Male

Color: Brindle

Location: Columbus

Born: 07.28.2023

Cat Profile: Cat Correctable 🐈

About: Rip is all about comfort. Upside down is his favorite position. He’s a big fella, tall and stocky, and will fill every bit of a 48” crate. He has been settling well in his crate and adjusting to a consistent schedule like a champ.

He’s eager to please, quick to learn, and a happy boy. Very interested in human food so keep the counters clear.
