Just arrived at Fins2Fur!

We finally got our pair of Betta macrostoma in, and these are definitely not your everyday bettas.

Macrostoma are a rare wild betta from Borneo and are mouthbrooders, meaning the male actually carries the eggs in his mouth until the fry are ready to be released.

These two are going to be staying here with us. The plan is to get them settled in, conditioned, and hopefully eventually get this pair breeding.

I've wanted to bring in some of the more unusual and harder-to-find bettas, and these guys are a pretty good start!

I'll keep everyone updated on how the pair does.

We brought in some new Quantum products!

I've been looking at this line for a little while and decided to give it a try. One of the things I really like about Quantum is they don't load their products up with unnecessary fillers and binders. You're getting concentrated products and not paying for a bunch of stuff you don't need in your reef.

We brought in several different products including their Easy E and Easy Z dosing system, Bio-Enhance coral nutrition, Aragonite supplements and Coral Cane coral food.

If you're already dosing a reef tank or you're trying to figure out where to start, stop in and check them out. I'm going to be using some of these products myself too, so I'll be able to share how they work as I get some time with them.

Quantum is now on the shelf at Fins2Fur!
