Buen Provecho is three weeks away, and the farm is ready for you!

Granja Soberanía sits on one acre in the Westwood neighborhood, a plot of land that was vacant before Re:Vision transformed it into a working farm. On September 25, it becomes the setting for an evening of food, culture, and community: cocktails, passed bites from some of our most acclaimed community chefs, and the harvest all around you.

The theme is “Donde me planten, florezco.” Where I am planted, I flourish. Come see what flourishing looks like on this land.

September is Hunger Action Month.

Every September, communities across the country raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity. In Southwest Denver, a federally designated food desert where more than 80% of residents identify as Latino, this month is a reminder of why Re:Vision was founded.

Hispanic and Latino Coloradans experience food insecurity at more than twice the rate of non-Hispanic white communities, according to the Colorado Health Institute. In Westwood, roughly a third of residents live at or below the poverty line. And Westwood is the youngest neighborhood in Denver, meaning a disproportionate share of the people most affected by food insecurity are children.

Re:Vision's No-Cost Grocery, CSA Produce Prescription Program, and four urban farms work year-round to make sure no neighbor goes without. In 2025, we served 5,945 families and distributed more than 1,060,000 pounds of food.

Cada mes de septiembre, comunidades de todo el país crean conciencia sobre el hambre y la inseguridad alimentaria. Community Wealth at Re:Vision is not a talking point. It is baked into how we operate.

Re:Vision employs Southwest Denver residents directly, on our farms, in our No-Cost Grocery, and as Promotoras. In 2025, 12 staff and 77 farm volunteers contributed thousands of hours of local employment and hands-on support to our community. We also leased office and kitchen space below market rate to three office tenants and three kitchen tenants, embedding local entrepreneurs directly into the Re:Vision campus.

Our team is made up of community members, hired and trained from within Westwood itself. They are the connective tissue between Re:Vision's programs and the families we serve.

Sharing the same language, culture, and being part of the same community they serve is not incidental to this work. It is integral.

This is what it looks like when a neighborhood builds its own economy.

En Re:Vision, la riqueza comunitaria no es solo un tema de conversación; está integrada en nuestra forma de operar.

Re:Vision is a food organization. It is also something more.

Nearly two-thirds of the families who joined our Family Gardens program in 2025 had already been involved with Re:Vision through another program. The pathways connect: a family comes for the grocery, stays for the garden, enroll their children in our youth programs, and find community at our events. That is by design. Our programs are built to reinforce and overlap with each other, because food security, education, and economic stability are each vital to build a strong and resilient community.

Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient Southwest Denver, rooted in safety, solidarity, and collective strength.

Re:Vision es una organización dedicada a temas alimentarios. Pero es también algo más.

Casi dos tercios de las familias que se unieron a nuestro programa de Huertos Familiares en 2025 ya habían participado anteriormente en Re:Vision a través de otro programa. Buen Provecho: An Evening en la Granja. Tickets are now open!

Our annual fundraiser is a cocktail-style evening with passed bites crafted by some of our community's leading chefs, set at Granja Soberanía, the one-acre urban farm Re:Vision now permanently owns in the Westwood neighborhood. Every ticket you purchase goes directly to work:

It funds the four urban farms that produced 90,000 pounds of food last year. It supports the No-Cost Grocery that served 5,945 families and distributed more than 1,060,000 pounds of food in 2025. It sustains the Family Gardens program that helped 100 low-income families grow their own food this summer. And it invests in the youth education programs that connected 63 young people to their culture, their land, and their future.

Nuestro evento anual de recaudación de fondos es una velada tipo cóctel con aperitivos preparados por algunos de los chefs más destacados de nuestra comunidad. Se llevará a cabo en Granja Soberanía, la granja urbana de una acre que Re:Vision posee ahora de forma permanente en el barrio de Westwood. Cada entrada que compras se traduce directamente en acción:

Financia las cuatro granjas urbanas que produjeron 90.000 libras de alimentos el año pasado. Apoya el programa de despensa gratuita que atendió a 5.945 familias y distribuyó más de 1.060.000 libras de alimentos en 2025. Sostiene el programa de Huertos Familiares, que ayudó a 100 familias de bajos ingresos a cultivar sus propios alimentos este verano. Last week, 70 families received a box filled with 20 pounds of fresh produce grown through Re:Vision’s urban farms and sourced through our partners. That’s 1,400 pounds of food moving from local soil to Southwest Denver families.

The CSA food box program is part of Re:Vision’s partnership with , connecting patients experiencing food insecurity with fresh produce through the Produce Prescription Program. Patients are identified through Denver Health’s community health centers and receive weekly boxes alongside recipes, nutrition information, and connections to additional community resources.

At Re:Vision, growing food is only part of the work. It’s about making sure the harvest reaches the people who need it, while connecting food access with health, knowledge, and community.

Last week’s 1,400 pounds are one snapshot of what that looks like in practice: fresh food grown here, packed here, and shared with families in the neighborhood.

La semana pasada, 70 familias recibieron una caja con 20 libras de productos frescos cultivados en las granjas urbanas de Re:Vision y obtenidos a través de nuestros socios. Esto suma 1.400 libras de alimentos que pasaron de la tierra local a las familias del suroeste de Denver.

Have you seen our feature in DiningOut Magazine ()?

In Southwest Denver, too many families face barriers to accessing fresh, healthy food. Re:Vision was built to help fill that gap by creating neighborhood-led solutions that increase food access while investing in the people who call this community home.

The feature highlights how Re:Vision is cultivating a healthier, more resilient Southwest Denver through our three core pillars: community health, community wealth, and education. It also shares how food serves as a catalyst for lasting change, from our No-Cost Grocery and urban farms to La Cocina, our community kitchen that supports Latino food entrepreneurs like Chef Rubén Hernández () of La Reyna Del Sur ().

Southwest Denver is a federally designated food desert. That designation is not just a statistic. It describes what it actually feels like to live in a neighborhood where fresh, affordable food is not reliably available, and where that gap has existed for decades because of deliberate disinvestment in communities of color.

Southwest Denver is a collection of majority Mexican immigrant neighborhoods. More than 80% of residents identify as Latino. Roughly a third live at or below the poverty line. And for years, there was no full-service grocery store within reach, no urban farm, no community kitchen, no produce prescription program partnered with a health clinic.

Re:Vision did not accept that as the baseline. Through four urban farms, 100 family gardens, 9 Champion gardens, and a No-Cost Grocery serving 900 to 1,200 families each week, we are rebuilding what a food system can look like in Southwest Denver, led by and for the people who live here.

In 2025, we distributed more than 1,060,000 pounds of food to our community. That number represents what is possible when a neighborhood refuses to be defined by what it was denied.

Peak harvest season is here, and our farms are at their most abundant.
Across all four of Re:Vision's urban farms, La Granja, Granja Corazón, Granja Soberanía, and the newly activated Granja Osceola, August brings in tomatoes, peppers, chiles, corn, squash, herbs, and more. Add the 100 family gardens and 9 Champion gardens spread across Southwest Denver backyards, and our urban agriculture footprint stretches over 93,000 square feet of growing space producing food for our community.

In 2025, Re:Vision's full model produced 90,000 pounds of food across our farms, with an additional 40,500 pounds harvested from family gardens and 9,859 pounds from Champion gardens alone. Every pound goes directly to the community: through our No-Cost Grocery, our CSA program with Denver Health, and directly into the hands of the families who grew it.

Urban agriculture at Re:Vision is not a side project. It is the strategy. Growing food locally creates a resilient food system, builds community health, generates neighborhood-based employment, and preserves culture in a neighborhood that has long been told it does not deserve any of those things.
