Cowboy’s big trip to Lowe’s 🙌

This 10-month-old Australian Cattle Dog & German Shepherd mix is basically a walking ball of energy and brains.
Cowboy was struggling with impulse control — leash pulling, jumping, excited greetings, counter surfing, and just an overall inability to pump the brakes. Classic high-drive pup stuff!

After working with our trainer Xander on in-home sessions, today we took a big step — Cowboy’s first public outing at Lowe’s!
The goal wasn’t perfection- or to make him stay in a perfect heel the entire time. We wanted him to explore, build confidence, and just have a great first experience in a busier environment — all while staying focused and under threshold.

And he NAILED it. 🙌 People, kids, dogs — Cowboy handled it all like a champ and kept his focus on his trainer and his mom.

Meet Cowboy! 🤠
This 10-month-old Australian Cattle Dog & German Shepherd mix is basically a walking ball of energy and brains — and his mom came to us for help channeling all of that into something a little more… polite. 😄

Cowboy was struggling with impulse control — leash pulling, jumping, excited greetings, counter surfing, and just an overall inability to pump the brakes. Classic high-drive pup stuff!

Progress isn’t always flashy — sometimes it just looks like a puppy calmly walking the lumber aisle. 🐕‍🦺✨
