Our furry friends are experts at masking discomfort, so dental disease can often go unnoticed until it’s causing significant pain. Knowing the signs can help you catch problems early and keep your pet happy and healthy.

Keep an eye out for:
🦷 Changes in the appearance of their mouth
🍽️ Loss of appetite or difficulty eating
💧 Excessive drooling or bad breath
🦴 Chewing on only one side
🤧 Nasal discharge or sneezing
🐾 Reluctance to play, cuddle, or socialize

If your pet is showing any of these signs, don’t wait. A dental exam can identify the cause of their discomfort and help prevent more serious health issues down the road.

This sweet boy got so cozy during his visit that he decided it was the perfect time for a little cat nap. 🥹 We love seeing our patients feeling safe, relaxed, and right at home while they’re here with us! 🤍

🐾 We’re so excited to welcome Dr. Mundo to The Oaks Veterinary Clinic! 🐾

Joining us next week, Dr. Mundo brings a passion for compassionate, high-quality care to every patient she sees. 🐶🐱❤️‍🩹
Dr. Mundo is originally from Illinois, but her family moved to Cypress when she was in high school. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a bachelor's in Equine Industry and Business in 2015 and graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. After graduating she returned home and worked in the Houston area as a small animal practitioner. Dr. Mundo has a special interest in dermatology and loves to provide high quality compassionate care for her patients.
In Dr. Mundo's free time, she is playing with her two children and spending time with her husband and family. She has three feisty (but sweet) cats, and two lovable dogs. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her with a good book, baking something delicious, or planning her next vacation.

Tiny paws, healthy starts. 🐾🌼

We had the sweetest visit with this adorable litter of puppies for their very first wellness check! From nose-to-tail exams to plenty of cuddles, each puppy got a clean bill of health and was ready to continue growing into a happy, healthy companion.

Thank you to their wonderful family (Golden Hour Cavapoos) for sharing this precious video with us—we loved being part of such an exciting milestone! 🩺🌸

Early puppy exams are an important part of giving your new best friend the healthiest start possible. We can’t wait to watch these little ones grow!
