A Brighter Day Animal Rescue League's mission is to assist in providing life-saving solutions for homeless animals. Our goal is to rescue in-need companion animals from scenarios that jeopardize animal welfare and provide necessary behavioral and veterinary care, including spay or neuter and find them appropriate homes.

Meet Maverick!! 😻🐾

This handsome kitten came to A Brighter Day when we were reached out to with a request to help because his new owner of a week could not care for him.

Maverick is sweet, playful, and as funny as can be.

He will be vetted and up for adoption soon ❤️‍🩹🫶

In the mean time, could you help us with his care? 🙏

NEWARK & Central Ohio❗️❗️

The Summer Baby Boom is Here – We Need Your Help! 🐾

A Brighter Day Animal Rescue League has set up roots at 124 S. 30th St. Newark, OH, in the Project Good Paint Pet Studio, but the need in our new community is huge!

(Don’t worry, we still have a Cental Ohio Foster base)

Summer means "kitten season" and high intake numbers. To prevent more homeless pets, we are launching our Summer Spay/Neuter Mission.

The Need is Great: Every spay and neuter prevents a litter of homeless animals. We need to fund more surgeries to make a real difference in Newark.

How You Can Help:

✅ Donate to fund the vaccines & surgeries needed to help lower the pet population and help prevent more homeless animals.

✨ Adoptable Spotlight: TipToe ✨

TipToe has been patiently waiting for her forever home since May, and it breaks our heart how this sweet girl keeps getting overlooked. 😿

Currently serving as the Pet Studio cat at Project Good Paint in Newark, Ohio, TipToe has made it very clear that her dream job is actually being your full-time best friend. 💕

She is full of personality, endlessly sweet, and wants nothing more than to follow you around, “help” with whatever you’re doing, curl up in your lap, and play with her favorite sparkly toy. If you’re working on a project, you can count on TipToe to be right there supervising every step. 🐾

She’s also a chatty girl, so if you love a cat with opinions, conversations, and lots of love to give, TipToe may be your perfect match. 🎙️

TipToe would prefer to be the only pet so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself — and honestly, she deserves it. She has so much affection, companionship, and silliness to offer the right person. ⭐️

Our sweet girl TipToe at A Brighter Day Animal Rescue League has been waiting since May for someone to choose her… and we can’t understand why. 💔

She’s been living in our pet studio for months, watching other cats come and go, and wondering when it will finally be her turn. She deserves so much more than a temporary space — she deserves a home.

✨ About her:

• Hilarious and full of personality
• Very vocal — she’ll chat with you about her day
• Extremely loving and affectionate
• Healthy and ready to go
• Thrives as the only pet in the home

She bonds deeply with her people and will absolutely be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your daily dose of entertainment. She just needs a calm home where she can be the queen she was meant to be.

We are looking for either:

🛋 A foster home

All adopters/fosters must pass our screening process, and she must be the only pet.

ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT:

Hank’s Brighter Days Are Here! 😻

We are beyond thrilled to announce that Hank, our beautiful blind Persian boy from A Brighter Day, has officially been adopted! 🐾💙

Hank has endured more transitions in less than a year than most cats face in a lifetime. After the heartbreaking loss of his owner, he was rescued by compassionate individuals who made sure he was safe and given a second chance. From there, his journey continued through loving foster care, medical treatments, and lots of patience and support.

We are incredibly grateful to his dedicated fosters who gave him stability, comfort, and love during such an uncertain time. You helped him heal and trust again.

Special shoutout to Project Good Paint, for taking this sweet soul into your Pet Studio until he found his way to his amazing fosters!

A very special thank you to CityPets Animal Hospital for the extensive care and commitment you gave Hank. As a medical case, he required extra attention, and your team worked so closely with him every step of the way. We truly couldn’t have done this without you.

And to the kind people who stepped in immediately after his owner passed — thank you for making sure he didn’t fall through the cracks. Your compassion changed his future.

Most of all, thank you to his amazing adopter. Hank now has a forever home, a mom who understands and loves Persians, and a cat brother to share his days with. He is safe. He is cherished. He is home. 🏡💕

Sweet Hank is one of the gentlest souls — resilient, loving, and so deserving of this happy ending. This is exactly why we do what we do.

❤️ It’s National Love Your Pet Day and what better way to celebrate than helping pets in our community? ❤️

Today, A Brighter Day Animal Rescue League is hosting a Pop-Up Pet Food Drive from 3–6 PM at:

Project Good Paint�📍 124 S. 30th St. Newark, Ohio 43055

We are collecting:
�🐶 Dog food�🐱 Cat food�🐾 Kitten food�🦴 Puppy food

We will also be giving away dog food to families in need (pickup only, first come first serve).

When you arrive, please knock on the door under the black awning and wait while we safely put our adoptables away — they’ll be enjoying enrichment time roaming the studio! We will come meet you outside.

🚨 Please note: We cannot leave pet food outside for pickup.

We know this time frame may not work for everyone, so stay tuned for additional pet food drive dates and times!

Let’s show our pets (and our community’s pets) just how loved they are today. 🐾❤️

✨ LONG TIMER ALERT — PLEASE READ FOR TIPTOE ✨

Tiptoe has been with A Brighter Day Animal Rescue League since mid-May.
That may not sound like forever… but in rescue, it is.

She has watched other cats come and go. She has seen adoption photos taken. She has waited while families walked past her kennel. And somehow, she keeps getting overlooked.

And we truly don’t understand why.

Tiptoe is a stunning tabby with a BIG personality and an equally big heart (and yes — she’s a sturdy, full-figured girl, not a dainty little thing 😌). She is a total chatterbox. She will hold entire conversations with you. She has opinions. She has commentary. She has main-character energy.

But most of all?

She loves her people.

When Tiptoe bonds with you, she bonds HARD. She wants to be in your lap. In your arms. Right next to you on the couch. She will soak up affection like she’s been waiting her whole life for it.

The only reason she hasn’t been scooped up yet?
She would thrive best as the only pet.
Not because she’s “bad.”
Not because she’s difficult.
But because she loves BIG. She wants her own human. Her own space. Her own spotlight. She wants to give you 100% of herself — and she blossoms when she doesn’t have to compete for attention.

Some cats get overlooked because they hide.
Tiptoe gets overlooked because she’s waiting for the right home.

She has been with us too long. She deserves her chance. She deserves her couch. She deserves her person.

If you’ve ever thought about having a one-and-only companion who will talk to you, cuddle you, and make you laugh daily — Tiptoe is your girl.
