We would love to give a special thanks to Kind Meals! Kind Meals is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Columbus, Ohio, that provides free, plant-based vegan meals and hunger relief to the local community. They hold a monthly distribution event every third Saturday of the month from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at All People's Fresh Market (945 Parsons Ave, Columbus, OH 43206)

Not only are they sponsoring this year's Cat Caper, they'll be at the event passing out cookies!

This is Sweet Pea! We’re asking that on Tuesday, August 18 she is in your thoughts and prayers. Sweet Pea will undergo surgery to correct her T3-L3 myelopathy. This is a degenerative condition and it is now effecting her rear leg mobility and causing bladder issues.

We are moving forward with the specialized surgery because we believe this young cat deserves to have a long, active life, she is part of a bonded pair and the prognosis is good.

Sweet Pea arrived at the shelter as a kitten with her brother in 2021. They were quickly adopted as a bonded pair. Unfortunately this year, their adopter fell on hard times and was unable to care for them. Soon after their return we began to notice the subtle beginning of Sweet Pea’s condition. Thankfully, she will receive the care she needs.

And now we do have to ask, can you please help us with this expense? Our estimate is $9,500 - $11,000. Every dollar will help! Thanks in advance to those who will donate.

Attention Cat Welfare and Cat Caper supporters!

For the entire month of August, we'll get a portion of the proceeds for any Homer's Hazy, a bright tangerine and pineapple hazy IPA at Jackie O's On Fourth Go have a great brew and support our cats!

The end of an era as they say. Tomorrow is Doug’s last day as a staff member (and we’ve been hearing about it for close to a year now 😆).
