Do you remember Elsa? ❄️🐾

Back in March, Elsa gave birth to five kittens outside just before Blizzard Elsa swept through the area. Thankfully, a kind person found the little family and brought them to safety before the storm hit. Elsa proved to be a devoted and brave mama, doing everything she could to protect her babies.

Fast forward a few months, and all of Elsa's kittens have found loving homes of their own! Now it's Elsa's turn.

Once her kittens were old enough and she no longer had to worry about protecting them, we discovered that Elsa is actually a sweet, friendly girl who enjoys attention from people. She can be a little shy when meeting new friends, so she'll need a home willing to give her a little patience and time to settle in. But once she feels safe, her loving personality shines through.

Elsa worked hard to give her babies the best possible start in life. Now we're hoping someone will give this brave mama the happy ending she deserves.

🌟 Where Are They Wednesday? 🌟

There's nothing we love more than hearing how our former shelter pets are thriving in their new homes!

🐾 Bailee is absolutely living her best life. Her family says it's hard to tell who adopted who! Wherever her people are, that's exactly where Bailee wants to be. Her favorite thing? Sitting right next to her person and holding their hand (or paw!) for as long as they'll let her. ❤️

🐱 Lucy the Siamese has had quite the transformation. At the shelter, she was known as our grumpy girl and needed lots of patience and time to adjust to her new surroundings. Then one day, something clicked. Lucy came out of her shell and decided her new mom was her very best friend. Now she's a cuddle expert and proudly holds the title of World's Best Snuggler! 🥰

💤 And then there's sweet River, who has clearly had a very busy day. This adorable kitty is making sure to get plenty of rest between all of life's important activities. Being this cute is exhausting work! 😴

Meet Mucky Duck 💛

This tiny kitten was found all alone out in the country, crying for help. The odds were against him from the start—more than 75% of kittens born outside don’t make it to their first birthday. But Mucky Duck is here, and he’s fighting.

At some point, Mucky suffered a severe eye infection that caused his eye to rupture. Tomorrow, he will undergo surgery to remove the damaged eye and finally be free from pain.

He’s just a baby who deserves the chance to grow up safe, loved, and pain-free—but he needs our help to get there.

Hello everybody, Meow Mayor Shorty again!

I gave my assistant/Kitten Pepper a break this week, and I feel like I’ve been just as busy handling Meow Mayor duties without her as I was with her! It’s a good thing she’s cute because she sure seems to be slacking!

My first order of business after a break from Pepper was getting a new Meow Mayor portrait, which staff did a phenomenal job with. Doesn’t it just make you want to squish me?? Really get in there and give me some good scritches??

The good news is you can! Stop by any time the humans are here to meet me! Better yet, Empty the Shelters is back! Starting July 5th, adult dogs are just $50 to adopt and adult cats are $25!

My cute little bobtail self will be hanging out right in the front when you walk in for Empty the Shelters, and you can meet me, or any of the other cats or dogs here – I know you’ll find your new best friend!

This is my second Empty the Shelters and I hope it’s my last! The staff are great, the food is fine, but I don’t think BAHS is as good as a home! Word on the street is a forever home has the same Churu treats as the shelter, so that’s not even worth sticking around here for!
