Austin Bulldog Rescue’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving and knowledgeable families for rescued English Bulldogs. We rescue bulldogs from animal shelters, other rescue groups and from owners who can no longer properly care

for their English Bulldog. Upon intake, we place each bulldog into a foster home that has been pre-approved and fully prepared to care for the specific needs of each bulldog. We provide and fund ALL health care needs for each bulldog while in our foster’s care…including medications, surgeries, vaccinations, preventatives, supplements and of course, spay and neuter. When healthy, happy and ready, each bulldog is matched with a pre-approved family and if all parties agree it is truly a perfect match, the bulldog is adopted into their furever home.

Elsa absolutely thrived at Rally 4 Rescue this past weekend.

She was the star of the show, soaking up attention from everyone she met and reminding us just how special she is. ⭐

It’s hard to believe this sweet girl was once found running through traffic. Today, she’s still waiting for someone to choose her.

After 372 days in rescue, we’d love nothing more than to see Elsa finally find her forever family.

Sweet Horchata 🧋🐾

This precious pup is such a bundle of joy! Everyone who meets her is obsessed with her. She enjoys cuddles and pets & just loves to be wherever you are 💕 She is potty trained & loves playing with her toys.

At just 1 year old, she is so easy-going and loves life. Sunbathing is her specialty ☀️ She gets along with all dogs & is incredibly gentle.

This sweetheart is heartworm-positive, so she will need to stay in Austin for her treatment!

Can we all agree this girl is absolutely STUNNING?! 😍

Meet Macy, our gorgeous Boxer/Mastiff mix with a heart that’s just as beautiful as her face. She’s the total package: sweet, affectionate, playful, and always ready to be wherever her people are.

She’s house trained, rides like a pro in the car, loves going for walks, and has been doing great with other dogs after slow introductions. Macy is still young at heart and loves to play, so don’t be surprised if she tries to convince you that every day is the best day ever!

She already knows “sit” and “down,” takes treats like a lady, and is happiest soaking up attention from everyone she meets. 💕

We have a feeling this beautiful girl won’t be waiting long for her forever family… but maybe that family is yours. 🥹🤎

Hi friends! Me Thor again, and I’m still waiting for my forever family to spoil me with all da scratchies. 🥲❤️

I’ve been patiently waiting for someone to choose me, and while I don’t understand why I’m still here, I know my perfect family is out there. I have so much love to give and can’t wait to spend my days by your side.

💔 Austin area fosters, we need you.

Some dogs find their way into your heart before they ever officially become part of the rescue.

That’s Bull. ❤️

Bull is everything we love about American Bulldogs. He’s young, goofy, ridiculously handsome, and absolutely adores people. He’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh every single day with his clumsy, oversized puppy energy.

🎾 Favorite hobby: Tennis balls are LIFE.

🏡 Needs: A securely fenced yard because this boy lives to run, zoom, and play.

🐶 Dog friends: He does well with easygoing, female dogs who don’t mind his big, goofy personality.

🐱 Cats: No cats, please.

❤️ Favorite thing: People. He loves them more than anything.

A while back, we helped Bull get adopted directly from a shelter, knowing that if anything ever changed, we would be there for him. We made that promise, and now it’s time to keep it.

Unfortunately, Bull and the family’s cat aren’t a safe match, so he needs a foster home as soon as possible while we help him find his next chapter.

We truly cannot explain how much we adore this sweet boy. He’s done absolutely nothing wrong. Through no fault of his own, he simply needs a safe place while we figure out what’s next.
