Austin Bulldog Rescue’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving and knowledgeable families for rescued English Bulldogs. We rescue bulldogs from animal shelters, other rescue groups and from owners who can no longer properly care

for their English Bulldog. Upon intake, we place each bulldog into a foster home that has been pre-approved and fully prepared to care for the specific needs of each bulldog. We provide and fund ALL health care needs for each bulldog while in our foster’s care…including medications, surgeries, vaccinations, preventatives, supplements and of course, spay and neuter. When healthy, happy and ready, each bulldog is matched with a pre-approved family and if all parties agree it is truly a perfect match, the bulldog is adopted into their furever home.

🚨 EMERGENCY‼️ AUSTIN FOSTER NEEDED BY MONDAY 🚨

It's time for you to meet Frito — young, goofy, playful and absolutely FULL of personality...but he's in a pickle.

We have until MONDAY to find Frito a foster. 🆘

Right now Frito has a safe place in boarding, but that very limited space is desperately needed for another dog who needs somewhere safe and quiet to decompress, he needs what Frito does not, and Frito deserves to get OUT of boarding and into a home..

So we're asking for your help. 🙏🏼

Frito is young, energetic and ridiculously SMART. He's extremely food motivated, loves human attention and we've watched him begin picking up new things literally within minutes. We'd LOVE a foster excited to channel that big brain into learning tricks and manners. 🧠

Because young + energetic + ridiculously smart can also make for a bit of a rascal, mind you a sweet rascal. 🫣

Frito LOVES people, but he's still learning that enthusiasm doesn't require launching his entire body at them. For now, we're looking for an adult-only home with no kids while he works on those manners. 👨🏼‍🏫

We'd especially love a friendly, playful dog companion for him. A fun female playmate could be an amazing match and give this fun-loving boy someone to romp and burn energy with.

And one VERY important foster selling point: Frito is potty trained! 🙌

🚨 DOOBIE NEEDS A WAY OUT OF THE SHELTER! 🚨

This sweet 6 year old bulldog girl is waiting in a shelter, and we REALLY want to bust her out and get her into an Austin area foster home! 🥺💗

Doobie is a fun, affectionate, playful girl who loves her people and is ready to trade her kennel for a couch, some toys, and a whole lot of bulldog-approved attention. She is said to be crate trained, housebroken, rides well in the car, and is already showing us that she has plenty of personality to share!

She recently had a dog test and did well, but we want to take introductions slowly and thoughtfully as we continue getting to know her. If she joins a home with another dog, we are looking for a patient, easygoing companion and VERY slow introductions. A dog in the home is absolutely not required, though. Doobie can also be your one and only!

The biggest thing standing between Doobie and rescue right now is a foster home in the Austin area. We can handle the rest!

Our sweet girl still needs her remaining TECA surgery, a procedure that will finally address the painful, chronic damage in her ear. The cost is approximately $5,000, so we’re teaming up with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams to make helping her a little sweeter.

We hope Velma gets the life she always deserved.

We hope in every lifetime, she is safe. We hope she is cherished, protected, spoiled, and surrounded by people who never make her question whether she is loved.

Because after the life she had before rescue, she deserves to know what it feels like to be someone’s whole world.

She deserves the soft bed. The warm home. The little treats. The gentle hands. The family who chooses her and keeps choosing her, every single day.

Most of all, she deserves to finally feel safe.

And we hope this is the lifetime where Velma finds all of that. 🤍

great prizes, local vendors, and the kind of Halloween chaos only a pack of bulldogs can create.

Every bid, raffle entry, and donation helps ABR provide veterinary care, safe foster homes, and

Taffy doesn’t ask for much. 🤍

If she could have one wish in the whole world, we know exactly what it would be: a forever family to call her own.

She’s been waiting patiently for her people to find her, and we just wish we could make that one wish come true for her already. Taffy is ready to love, ready to play, and ready to finally have a place to call home.
