POV: your sweet, confident puppy suddenly thinks their water bowl is terrifying 🫠
Welcome to the fear period.
This is a normal phase where your puppy’s brain goes:
“New thing? Scary. Old thing? Also… scary now.”

Fear periods typically happen around:
• 8–11 weeks
• 4–6 months (sometimes again closer to adolescence)

What to do:
• Don’t force it
• Stay calm and neutral
• Let them check things out at their own pace
• Reward curiosity

What NOT to do:
• Drag them to it
• Over-comfort and make it a big deal
• Get frustrated
Good news: it passes.
Better news: how you handle it now really matters 👀
