UPDATE: He got another app from someone who has already met, loved him, and has been following his story ever since. This might be it and if it is, he will have an amazing home and will be picked up Friday. 🤞
💔 Well, Smokey had another meet and greet fall through.
And once again, it was through absolutely no fault of his own. At this point, we're starting to think the universe just has it out for this poor guy. 😭
Every time we think this might finally be it, something happens and we're right back where we started.
Smokey has been waiting so long for someone to call his own. He's goofy, playful, affectionate, and has so much love to give. He just needs someone to give him that chance.
He would do best as an only dog, but we aren't ruling out a well-matched canine companion! We'd be happy to arrange multiple meet and greets to make sure everyone is comfortable and it's a good fit.
We know Smokey has no idea that another opportunity has slipped away, but we know. And it breaks our hearts every single time. 💔
Somewhere out there is a person who is going to look at this sweet, ridiculous boy and wonder how they ever got so lucky.
We just wish they'd hurry up and find him. 🥺❤️
