Welcome home!!! A mare who had no one. A jenny who was separated and scared. A one-eyed gelding who needed a second chance. And a Percheron who arrived last week. This trailer is full of survivors and every single one of them are home thanks to an incredibly generous sponsor who transferred a stock donation to make it all possible.

Their gift funded the rest of this rescue. That is the power of giving stock. Another donor sent a check for the balance of the geldings rescue!

Our two rescued horses from Wisconsin arrived late last night, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them home.

While they were being boarded together waiting for transport, they formed such a special bond and quickly became best friends. After everything they’ve been through, it’s beautiful to see them find comfort in each other.

We’re so excited to give them the peaceful retirement they deserve full of love, soft pasture, and a safe place to simply be horses. We can’t wait to share their journey with all of you.

Two of the three horses in this rescue are now safe because of your generosity.

But one horse is still standing in that kill pen waiting for us to save him.

While the others now have a path to safety, this senior gelding is still at risk. Still waiting. Still hoping someone will see that his life matters too.

We cannot imagine saving two and leaving one behind.

These horses spent their lives carrying humans, working hard, and giving everything they had. They deserved love and protection not to end up discarded when they were no longer useful.

Now we are so close to changing this horse’s story, but we cannot do it without your help.

Please help us raise the remaining funds needed to save the final horse before it is too late. Every donation and every share could be the reason this horse gets his second chance at life.

If you slow down and really look, you’ll start to notice something beautiful, love is everywhere. It’s in the quiet moments, the small gestures, the gentle connections we often overlook.

Here at the sanctuary, we see it every day. In the soft nuzzle of a horse greeting a friend. In the patience of one soul standing beside another who’s still learning to trust again. In the way they rest together in the sun, simply enjoying each other’s presence.

Many of the horses who come to us have known hardship, neglect, or fear. But even after everything, they still choose connection. They still choose kindness. They still choose love.

And maybe that’s the lesson they offer us: love isn’t something rare or distant it’s something that surrounds us, something we can choose to see, to give, and to receive.

If you look hard enough… you’ll find it.

There’s something special about life on the farm the early mornings, the hard work, the quiet moments, and everything in between. It may not always feel like it in the moment, but these are the days worth remembering.

Today we are working to save two mares who are on the ship to slaughter list for Tuesday. We can’t walk away knowing their lives are about to end.

One of the mares needs medical attention. She is in rough condition and will need veterinary care. She deserves a chance to heal and experience kindness instead of suffering.

The second mare is dealing with heartbreaking loss. She came in with her friend, the Belgian seen in the picture with the Percheron. Tragically, that Belgian passed away at the lot, leaving this mare alone and confused. Horses form powerful bonds, and hearing that she stand there without her companion was devastating.

We need your help to give them the chance and care they deserve.
