OMG, what a busy week it’s been that I completely forgot that on the 26th it was 3 YEARS since we welcomed our very first livery!*💕🐎 And guess what… she’s still here! 💪🥹❤️

When we first started, we only had half the track open, and the following year we opened up the second half. Since then, we’ve continued to make little changes and improvements whenever we can. It’s bloody hard work, but honestly, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I absolutely LOVE what we do! 💫

One of the most rewarding things is seeing how well so many of our older, retired horses are thriving. ❤️ Watching them enjoy the freedom of movement, choose their own friends, and have access to good-quality meadow hay makes all the hard work worthwhile. 🙌🌿

There’s something so special about being able to offer these horses a life where they can simply *be horses*… moving freely, socialising and enjoying their days at their own pace. 🐎💚

And it’s not just our golden oldies! Seeing the younger horses grow up and start their lives in as natural an environment as possible is just as rewarding. 🌙✨

Three years of learning, growing, improving and doing what we love. We still have plenty of ideas and little changes we want to make, but looking at how far we’ve come already makes me so proud. 🥹💕

Hallys’s story ( the left hind foot)

At the beginning of this year, Hally had a freak accident that nearly cost him his life. He nearly bled out, and then developed an infection in his coffin joint and bone.

His future was looking very uncertain. Very few horses recover from an infection in this area, and Hally was nearly PTS several times. On one occasion, I had even booked the vet — but something inside me just knew it wasn’t his time. ❤️‍🩹

I had done everything I could. He had two surgeries and three weeks of ozone therapy, but we just couldn’t seem to get the infection under control. I felt like I was on the biggest rollercoaster 🎢 — one minute feeling hopeful, the next completely broken.

I spent so many days crying because I didn’t know what else I could do to help him. I just knew he wasn’t ready to go.

And then, as soon as I stopped trying so hard and surrendered to the process, he started getting better. ❤️‍🩹

The body is incredibly clever. Sometimes it just needs time.

When I look back at how damaged Hally’s foot was, I honestly never thought it would look or function like this again. It may never look completely normal, and he still has a line running down the middle of the hoof from the original damage to his coronet band, but apart from that, it is a fully functional, comfortable hoof. 💪

And watching him move comfortably around the track now is something I will never take for granted.

The track has played such an important part in his recovery too. The constant, gentle movement encourages circulation, supports natural hoof movement and gives the foot regular stimulation without forcing him to do more than he is comfortable with. Being able to move around freely, at his own pace, has helped him rebuild strength and confidence while allowing his foot to keep adapting and functioning.

Now, when I look at his foot, it almost looks like a normal hoof again. And more importantly — he is comfortable, he is moving, and he is happy. ❤️

A huge shout-out to everyone who has played a part in Hally’s recovery — to everyone who has helped keep his feet, mind and body balanced along the way. I will forever be grateful. 🙏❤️‍🩹

Sometimes recovery isn’t about forcing the body to heal. Sometimes it’s about giving it the right environment, the right support, and the time to do what it already knows how to do. 🐴❤️

13 years ago today I picked up Cruise 🩵 what a journey we have been on, if it wasn’t for him I would not have found straightness training and he probably wouldn’t be here now if we didn’t do all the rehab, he’s not be been great biomechanically over the last year but we are trying everything we possibly can to keep him comfortable to be able to live his life on the track 🙏🌙

What an amazing couple of days 🐎and amazing changes in the horses in a short space of time, 13 horses over 2 days that are now feeling better and learning how to use their bodies correctly

💕 A bittersweet advert for us 💕

This is a very sad advert to write, as this lovely livery has been with us for nearly 2 years now and has become such a special part of our yard. 🐴❤️

However, circumstances change, and we’re pleased that she has found somewhere closer to home 🏠

We will be very sad to see her go, but we wish her and all the horses the very best for the future. 💕🐎

First day back to work for Pheonix after 5 weeks off, love working with this horse he try’s his heart out for me 🩵 so grateful to have found Biotensegral training 🙌

Pheonix has had 5 weeks off any work now and he’s looking so much better, these photos are taken 5 weeks apart and I’m really pleased with how he is looking 😍

What an amazing weekend with Olivia & Guy Day 1 - I was with Olivia and we did bodywork and groundwork, what a difference in just one session 💪 Day 2 - I was with Guy and we did ridden, this was very basic suppling work building strength.

unfortunately I didn’t get any videos of me working or riding because I was on my own 😫

I’m loving the the Biotensegral training, each time I grow my knowledge, I would love to start offering more spaces for rehab liveries eventually, this would help so many horses 🐴

Don’t forget the 16th and 17th we have a Clinic here at New Moon, spectators welcome 🙏
