Sweet Heather, was like so many dogs in our target communities. They were born without a human family. She lived on her own for as long as she could, but falling pregnant, she sought out a human that might help her...and this wonderful person cared for her until it was almost time for the babies to be born.

They called us and asked if we could take her. She wasn't their dog, and they had done what they could for her - but they couldn't afford puppies, nor the spay.

We said yes.

Heather has been in care for a few weeks now and we've been on baby watch for the past week. And man, oh man, did she DELIVER!

Heather had TWELVE PUPPIES. The biggest litter we've had in a long time!

11 of the 12 were in great shape - fat and happy and eager to eat. But the runt wasn't as capable and unfortunately, even after trying to hand feed, passed away, only a few hours after being born.

These little babies have a long road ahead of them - with 11 fighting for all the Mama (and milk time!) they can get! There is an extremely good chance they will need to be supplemented with PMR (puppy milk replacement) and for the next 8 weeks in our care - we will do everything in our power to make sure they grow up fat and happy!

For those 8 weeks, we are looking for a Sponsor to help us support this mama and her family of eleven pups as they grow up in our care.

For a one time donation of $1000, you can ensure that these eleven chonkers and Heather get the food and nourishment they need, as well as the proper vaccinations, deworming and microchips that will keep them healthy and safe for years to come!

We've got two adorable kittens at Pet Valu Timberlands ! A whole NEW crew of adorable cats and kittens have made their way to the cat condos in store, including, Blossom, Charlie, George and Dottie!

All kittens are up to date on shots, dewormer, microchip and spay/neuter for an adoption fee of $200 or $350 for two!

Blossom, the 6 year old beauty is up to date on shots, dewormer, microchip and spay for and adoption fee of $125.

Heading to Lacombe? There are sooo many places to meet kitties!

First, try and meet Sarge! His sister was adopted this week and now he's all by his lonesome! He is hanging out in the cat condo, sponsored by Brandi Horinek Wyatt, BSc.Ag., CFP - IG Wealth Management.

He is up to date on shots, dewormer, microchip and neuter for an adoption fee of $200.

Also in Lacombe, you can find cats at ! The cat condo, sponsored by RPM Specialty Services Ltd. is the home of Pretty Penny, a 1 year old cat who loooves belly rubs!

Penny is up to date on her shots, dewormer, microchip and spay for an adoption fee of $125.

We're so excited to announce our newest adoptable cat location: Curious Tails Pet Supplies ! There, you will find Pringle, a four year old tuxedo cat with an amazing temperament around people!

August wound up being a great month for Next Chapter! The end of summer is usually fairly slow for adoptions, and we were beginning to sweat mid month...but the adoptions came through by the last weekend!

An incredible FORTY FIVE dogs and cats found their forever homes in August and we couldn't be happier!

These amazing creatures did it- THEY FOUND THEIR FOREVER - because of YOU!
With almost 405,000 people seeing our posts in August - thanks to your shares, likes and comments - we are so happy that we could help 45 families find their Happily Ever After!
