WE ARE HIRING A PART-TIME EMPLOYEE!
We are looking for a motivated, hard-working animal lover with a positive attitude to join our team at our Boarding and Daycare facility just north of Red Deer.
We are seeking an individual to work as a kennel attendant / doggy daycare attendant. Attendants are required to feed, clean kennels and surrounding areas as needed, rotate dogs in and out of yards, and perform health checks. The safety and well-being of the animals in our care is our top priority. A versatile individual who is willing and able to provide excellent animal care, alongside outstanding customer service, is imperative.
The right candidate will be a team player who brings a good attitude to work every day, and can also work independently with little direction after a period of training and supervision. Previous animal care experience is an asset but not required. You must be flexible and willing to change focus as needed to meet the needs of the animals and clients.
This position starts as part-time, with the potential to move into a full-time role for the right candidate.
Hours of work would be anywhere between 7am – 6pm depending on the shift. Applicant must have availability during the week.
Start date: ASAP
Hours of work: Anywhere from 15–25 hours per week. Must be able to work at least 2 weekends a month.
Requirements:
• Valid Driver’s License & reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, walk long distances, go up and down stairs, and spend long hours on your feet
• Fast learner, self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable around all sizes and temperaments of cats and dogs
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Cleaning kennels
• Scooping p**p
• Feeding according to owners’ instructions
• Medicating dogs and cats
• Scooping litter boxes and cleaning cat kennels
• Other cleaning around the facility
