Alder Creek Kennel At Alder Creek Kennel, it is our passion to enrich the lives of dogs, providing them with the best care possible. We have warm hearts for cold noses!

We aim to continually improve, as new and exciting methods of dog care emerge. Our goal is to offer mental and physical stimulation to give dog owners the peace of mind that their dog is getting exactly what they need.

What happens behind the scenes at daycare?

A LOT of planning.

And an even bigger amount of cleaning.

Every day at Alder Creek Kennel involves planning, organizing, preparing, checking, scheduling, resetting, disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, laundry, dishes, refilling, restocking and then somehow doing it all over again.

We plan out the dogs’ day, who will be grouped together, when everyone gets outside, enrichment activities, meals, training, rest periods and all the little details that help keep the day running smoothly and safely.

And then there’s the cleaning.

Boy, oh boy, do we clean.

Floors? Constantly.

Kennels? Constantly.

Bowls? Constantly.

Toys? Constantly.

Laundry? It never ends.

If something can be washed, wiped, swept, mopped, disinfected or picked up, chances are we’re doing it.

It might not be the glamorous side of working with dogs, but it’s a HUGE part of what we do.

So while you’re seeing the pictures of happy dogs playing, getting enrichment, going outside and enjoying their day, just know that there is a whole lot happening behind the scenes to make those moments possible.
