Now available for adoption!!
Meet Pandora! AKA Pandora the Explorer!

DOB: July 11, 2024 (estimated)
Breed Best Guess: Chinchilla Mix
Size: Large (approximately 8 lbs)
Medical: Healthy, spayed and vaccinated (RHDV)

From her Foster Mom;
“Pandora loves exploring , but loves cuddling even more 🥰. She is very social, and will happily follow you from room to room to see what you’re up to. Pandora is a professional at using her litter box, and hasn’t had any accidents in her foster homes. She does like to make a bit of a mess with her hay though! 😂. Pandora is an active, busy girl and she needs lots of toys and attention to keep her entertained. When she is finished her adventuring, Pandora loves to snuggle up and relax with her people, while getting some love. She has a very affectionate personality, and she would thrive in an environment where she receives a lot of one on one attention, interaction, and plenty of room to explore!”

Her ideal home:

- Pandora is best suited to a home where she is able to live a mainly free roam lifestyle, under supervision. Bunny proofing is a must, as she does enjoy exploring, and she has been known to nibble on a baseboard or two 😉

- If there are children in the home, her preference is for children over the age of 12, who are able to understand and respect her boundaries and her likes and dislikes. Pandora does not like to be picked up, and she will fight against it. She should only ever be picked up by rabbit savvy adults when necessary.

- Pandora has not been tested with cats or dogs, but we do feel she’d do best in an environment without cats and/or dogs, so she can soak up all the love and attention from her peeps 🥰

- Pandora would likely enjoy the company of a male rabbit in the future, and she would likely bond well with the right hus-bun. While she was in her previous foster home, she was surrounded by several bunny neighbours, and she did show some interest in the other rabbits.

- Pandora requires a home where she will get plenty of attention and one on one time, that includes lots of places to explore and lots of things to do. Having a human who is home most of the time would be the ideal situation for her. She would not do well in a home where she is left alone in an enclosure for majority of the time (over 8 hrs).

If you are interested in learning more about Pandora, and you feel you have a suitable home for her, please visit our website and fill out our application form. All of our rabbits are initially placed into homes under a “foster-to-adopt” trial basis, for a 30 day period. A home visit will be required prior to placement.

*Please note: We will only contact the applicant(s) that we feel are best suited for our rabbits. Filling out the application form does not guarantee that you will be selected for the rabbit you are interested in. You will only be contacted if your application is selected, and, if selected, you will recieve a follow up phone call from one of our volunteers. During the phone call you may be asked further questions, and you may be asked to provide further details and/or photos. This is so we can learn more about you, and ensure the rabbit is being placed appropriately. Precious Rabbits Rescue and Sanctuary Society may deny your foster-to-adopt application at any time during the screening process, or at any time during the trial foster period, if we feel the applicant or the environment is not suitable.

Introducing Simba!

Simba is very special little guy, and he is now looking for a very special forever home!

Age: 1.5 years (estimated)
Breed Best Guess: Netherland Dwarf
Medical: Healthy, Neutered & Vaccinated (RHDV)

Simba is a quiet, shy, very sweet little bunny. His foster mom says “Simba enjoys watching everything his humans are doing. He loves to run around the living area showing off his binky’s and his roll flops. He becomes quite curious once he settles in, and once he gets used to the routine. He loves toys that make noise, his favorite is a cat ball the he likes to jingle and put in his water. He loves a good box to work onto make it his safe place when he gets scared."

Simba tends to be a shy and sometimes nervous bunny. He does not like a lot of activity and noise in his environment, and he can startle easily. Simba would not do well in a home a home with young children, or in a home with cats and/or dogs. He doesn't like to be picked up and holds a grudge when it has to happen for nail trims.

Simba will take a little while to warm up to his new human(s), and it will take some time to gain his trust. Simba needs to be in an environment that is calm, quiet, and predictable, ideally with humans that have some bunny experience.

Simba would also do best in a home that is interested in bonding him to a female bunny, whether this is a bunny already in the home, or a bunny that his human(s) plan to adopt. We believe he would bond easily to a confident, more outgoing female that can help him feel more confident and secure.

If you and your home meet the criteria, and you feel you can offer this handsome boy a suitable home, please reach out to us. A home visit will be a requirement prior to adoption.

Beautiful Harlequin Bunny
Courtsey Post.

She tied to have a husband but decided she might prefer to be single.

Meet Miss Bunny she is a Free roam bunny and CANNOT be kept in a cage. She is spunky and cuddly and has a fantastic personality. She is 4 years old and spayed. Loves her veggies and Hay and her treats are a must. If you would like to meet her send us a message. She comes with a sleeping cage, all of her hay and treats, litter box with attached hay feeder, toys and if you like her platform table. I would like to put a caveat on her that if it does not work out she comes back to us however. We are rehoming her of no fault of her own. My health is declining and unfortunately to get down on the floor to be with her has become too painful. She has a lot of love to give to the right person. She does have a rehoming fee we are located 15 min west of Edmonton.
