Meet the Team: Dr. Kate! 🐾

Kate joins us as a 2024 graduate from James Cook University, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and a lifelong passion for animal care. Her journey started long ago, inspired by her beloved cat, Cloud, and has led her to earn both a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (Honours) and her degree in Veterinary Science.

Kate’s dedication to excellence was recognized during her studies, where she was awarded the AVAS Prize for Small Animal Medicine. While she has a deep commitment to animal welfare across all species, she has a particular interest in small animal medicine and aspires to specialise in the future.

When she’s not at the clinic providing high-quality care, you’ll find Kate staying active with fitness, getting lost in a good book, or recharging with her loved ones. At home, she’s kept busy by her own furry family: Halo the Doberman and Cleo the cat. 🐕🐈‍⬛
