Meet beautiful Val! This gorgeous girl is around 2 years old and is an absolute sweetheart.

Val is extremely social, outgoing and affectionate. She loves people and would thrive in a home where she gets plenty of human interaction and attention. She would be a wonderful addition to a family with children, teenagers or adults.

She gets along amazingly well with other cats and dogs, and we’d love to see her go to a home with another friendly fur companion.

Val is a very well-behaved girl who is ready to find her forever family. She is fully vet worked and ready for adoption. 🐱💕

Beautiful Baby is an 8-year-old Burmese girl looking for a very special foster home through Backstreet Cats. ❤️

Baby is a shy girl who has found the changes around her quite overwhelming. She can be nervous and may hiss or growl when she feels scared or unsure — this is simply her way of saying she needs some space and time to feel safe.

Baby is looking for a quiet, calm home with someone who understands that trust can’t be rushed. She needs a patient foster carer who can give her gentle care, one-on-one attention and the time to slowly build her confidence at her own pace.

Underneath her fear is a beautiful girl who deserves the chance to feel safe and loved again. 🐱💕

Baby will also be having a vet check and booster vaccination to make sure she’s happy and healthy as she settles into foster care.

We’re looking for a foster home that can provide:

✨ A peaceful and stable environment
✨ Patience and understanding
✨ Time to build trust slowly
✨ A safe space where Baby can relax and settle in
✨ Someone who is happy to let Baby come out of her shell in her own time

Meet our handsome boy Quicksilver 🩶

Quicksilver has been slowly coming out of his shell and is now really starting to show his playful side. He has started playing with the other kittens and we think he would do best in a home with another friendly, social cat to keep him company.

He is becoming more affectionate and is now enjoying being patted, especially a good scratch behind his ears! 🥰

Quicksilver does not like being picked up, but otherwise he is a lovely boy who is growing in confidence every day.

We are delighted to announce that Haze has successfully undergone hernia repair surgery, and we are grateful for the outstanding care and support provided by Animal Clinic Maffra The clinic's dedication to Haze and the other Back street cats is truly commendable. Haze has returned home and is currently recuperating. Her surgery was a success, and she is recovering well. In the coming weeks, once Haze has fully recovered, she will be available for adoption. Interested parties are invited to express their interest via private message or email. We would also like to extend our gratitude to all our supporters who donated towards Haze's treatment.

🐾 Haze's Surgery Appeal 🐾
Our beautiful girl Haze is booked in for her hernia repair and desexing surgery on Wednesday, 5 August.
Haze has a quite large hernia, and while she's still her happy self, it does need to be repaired. If left untreated, large hernias can become more serious over time. There is a risk that abdominal tissue or organs can become trapped within the hernia, cutting off the blood supply and quickly becoming a painful, life-threatening emergency. Repairing it now gives Haze the best chance at a long, healthy life.
Thanks to an incredibly generous donation, we've already been able to cover just over half of the cost of her surgery. We are beyond grateful for the kindness and support we've received.
We're now hoping to raise the remaining funds. If you're able to contribute, no matter how big or small, every dollar goes directly towards Haze's veterinary care and helps us continue giving rescued cats the second chance they deserve.

🐾 Foster Homes Needed – Latrobe Valley 🐾

We have some beautiful cats and kittens looking for loving foster homes. Some are also ready for adoption, while others are still awaiting their vet work.

To become a foster carer, you must:
🐱 Live in the Latrobe Valley.
🐱 Be willing and able to transport your foster cat to vet appointments in Maffra, or alternatively be able to drop them off to one of our volunteers in Morwell, who can assist with transport.
🐱 Have a separate room or area where they can be safely quarantined away from your own pets.

Meet our cats:

🧡 Dumpling – Female, ginger and white, approximately 8 months old.
A very friendly and social girl who gets along well with other cats and is great with children.
🏡 Available for adoption or foster.

🤍 Pearl – Female Ragdoll, 2 years old.
Pearl is incredibly affectionate and loves people. She does have some toilet issues, so she’ll need a home with easy-to-clean flooring. She would prefer to be the only cat but may be okay with calm cats who leave her alone.
🏡 Available for foster only (not yet ready for adoption).

🤎 Bandicoot – Female tabby and white, approximately 2 years old.
A beautiful, social girl who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and other cats.
🏡 Available for foster only (not yet ready for adoption).

🩶 Quicksilver – Male solid grey kitten, approximately 6 months old.
A shy but sweet boy who will thrive in a quieter home. He isn’t suited to young children and just needs someone patient to help build his confidence.
🏡 Available for adoption or foster.

🖤 Bellatrix – Female medium-haired black kitten, approximately 16 weeks old.
Bellatrix can be a little shy at times, but once she feels comfortable she’s incredibly loving and affectionate. She would do best in a home with older children.
🏡 Available for adoption or foster.

Fostering saves lives by giving these cats a safe, loving place to stay while they wait for their forever homes or complete their vet work. If you think you could help, we’d love to hear from you!

We want to say a massive thank you to every single person who has supported our rescue by donating, sharing our posts, volunteering, and adopting. We truly can’t thank you enough.

Because of your kindness and generosity, we have been able to fund five cats to receive their full veterinary work over the coming weeks. Every donation, no matter the size, has made a real difference to these beautiful little souls and has helped give them the fresh start they deserve.
