FIVE YEARS OF BARKINGMAD GROOMING! 🎉🐾
Can you believe it? On 14 September 2021, I opened the doors of BarkingMad Grooming for the very first time. Five years later, here we are — and I couldn't be more grateful.
This journey started with a simple belief: that dogs deserve to be treated with patience, kindness, and respect. Not rushed. Not stressed. Just cared for, at their own pace. That's what "Humanity Over Vanity" has always meant to me, and it's still the heart of everything we do.
We started in Somerville, and now we're tucked inside PetO in Mornington — and every single dog that's walked through our doors has made this milestone possible. The nervous ones who needed extra time. The seniors who needed a gentle touch. The big ones, the small ones, the muddy ones, the matted ones. Every single one.
To our amazing clients — thank you for trusting us with your best friends. Thank you for the referrals, the reviews, the kind words, and for showing up week after week. You've built this little salon into something I'm so proud of.
And to every dog who's ever sat in our tub or on our table — thank you for being the best part of this job. 💛
Elliot was almost 2 when I started this. He's almost 7 now and Dani is 3 this week too! This business has grown up alongside my kids, and that means the world to me.
Here's to five more years of gentle grooming, happy dogs, and a community that puts animals first. 🐶✂️
