Our friendly staff regularly go that extra mile to ensure both clients and animals are well looked after. Our vets and nurses are continually updating their knowledge and skills by attending conferences and participating in continuing education. This extends to our equipment

, which is at a very good level due to this philosophy. We have new ultrasound equipment, extensive in-house blood testing and the capacity to perform both orthopaedic surgery and complex soft tissue surgeries. Our mobile horse trailer greatly improves the safety of both horses and people during procedures such as dental examination and treatment, standing surgery and re**al exams. Should your animal require specialist care we happily refer to several specialists we know and trust.

As always, a vet will be available on the after hours phone for emergencies only.
All routine and non-emergent consults are to resume next week.

🐰🌸 EASTER WEEKEND OPENING HOURS 🌸🐰

The team at Border Vets is taking a little Easter breather - some family time, a reset, and maybe a chocolate induced coma or two

We’ll be open Saturday 8:30am – 11:30am for emergencies only.
For all routine appointments, please give us a call during normal clinic hours to get booked in.

Our after-hours phone will still be running all weekend for emergencies, with Dr Xin on call.

Hope you all have a happy Easter! Enjoy the choccies and keep them out of reach from your furry companions (please!) 🍫

A few weeks ago (bad social media admin!) we farewelled our hilarious, slightly OCD, country music–obsessed nurse, Danielle!

Dan has headed up north for a season (rain and roads permitting!) to try her hand as a ringer - building fences, chasing cattle, and putting her vet nursing skills to good use out in the paddock.

We won’t lie… it feels a bit like our right hand has been cut off around the clinic and things are definitely a bit quieter without her. But we couldn’t be more excited to see what adventures she gets up to and all the amazing things she’ll achieve.

We’re already looking forward to hearing the stories over a cold beer when she’s back.

Good luck up north, Dan - give ’em hell! 🤠

Over the Christmas period our team is taking a well-deserved break
During this time we will be available via our after-hours phone for emergencies only, and open on select mornings with skeleton staff.

While we will always have a vet on call for urgent cases, we kindly ask that the after-hours service is reserved for true emergencies only. Routine appointments, repeat prescriptions and non-urgent concerns can safely wait until we return in the New Year.
