💊 Why can’t we always dispense prescription medications over the counter?

Veterinary medications are regulated to make sure they’re used safely, appropriately and responsibly — for your animals, our community and our food supply.

Maintaining a valid Veterinary Client Patient Relationship (VCPR) allows our vets to make sure medications are still suitable, doses are correct and any ongoing treatment is being monitored appropriately.

We know it can sometimes feel frustrating when your animal has been on the same medication for a long time, so we hope this post helps explain why these requirements are in place. 🐶🐱🐮🐴
