Have you heard of whisker fatigue?
It is a topic that has not had much research and some professionals are still unsure if it exists.
Have you ever noticed your cat is a messy eater, pawing food out on the ground to eat or always leaves the last bit of food at the bottom of the bowl? It could be to do with their whiskers.
Your cats whiskers are sensitive little antennas that are constantly grabbing information.
Making sure your cat's water and food bowl is not too small or too deep and causing rubbing on the whiskers. Too much rubbing and touching can cause sensory and information overload and can cause stress, fatigue and discomfort.
Next time you are filling up their food or water bowl, consider the whiskers!
