It is with endless gratitude that I announce the retirement of one of the best horses that I have had the privilege to know: Claudius. He has given his owners and myself everything that could possibly be desired in a horse, year after year. The time with him has truly been a gift, and there are so many memories that come to mind when I think of his life: from the photos with his breeder in Germany, to his show ring success in the US, to his countless adventures with Kristine, and everything in between!
Kristine, thank you for offering me his last ride. Thank you for every ride for the last 2 decades on him (and all of your incredible horses). I am beyond grateful, and words do not do justice to my gratitude.
Anna, thank you for bringing Claudius into our lives and allowing us to keep him. I still remember when we tried him as a 4-year-old in SoCal! And now he is 23 years old and ready for well-deserved green pastures.
Bonus points that he gets to retire with Bendal, another legend that deserves all of the accolades.
I don't know how we all got so lucky, but thank you, Claudius. You are exceptional in every way. You have many wonderful years ahead of you, but your life as a show horse and teacher is an inspiration to many ❤️

Pancho is a gentle, kind gelding who has been owned and ridden by a 5yo girl, and trained by an adult amateur with success in the 2’3 hunters and jumpers. He is 8 years old and measures a large pony at 14.2hh. He is comfortable to sit and simple/easy to ride, in addition to being sweet and personable. He is currently in full training at the Horse Park at Woodside, and handles the busy show environment on a day-to-day basis with his riders. In addition to his English training, he has proper groundwork skills and knows how to lunge properly as well as explore the trails on the property.

His owner is unable to ride regularly right now, so Pancho is being offered on a full feed lease (no lease fee but all of his monthly expenses must be covered). He is a great pony who would be good for a child or any sized adult as long as they are slim: the adult in the jumping videos is 5’9”. In-barn only, please. When Terrance moved to Core Equestrian with his showjumper Stakkatto, he told me he had to sell him because he wanted to start riding dressage. To that, I replied, "Absolutely not! I can not replace this wonderful horse." So Terrance waited patiently for me to make good on my claim that a career change was possible, even at an old age. This weekend, Stakkatto's debut at his first rated dressage show was full of easy rhythm and relaxation. Terrance, this handsome, perfect horse is ready for you now 😁🤩

Pumpkin Spice (known around the barn as Nick or Nugget) is a great all-around horse. This 8-year-old is a registered Connemara Sport Horse, expertly bred for his intelligence and versatility. At 15.2 he is the perfect size for a petite rider. Don’t let his size fool you - he has the stride length to win, while being able to take all the handy inside turns. He has clean lead changes, and will jump from anywhere (he always jumps the jump). In the last 2 years he has shown successfully in the jumper ring with a 12 year old rider at A and B rated shows, and has also shown training level dressage. He has comfortable and symmetrical gaits and is supple in the bridle, all of which make him a joy to ride! Nick is confident out in a field and on trails, is happy being ridden ba****ck, and has his dressage basics as well (leg yield, shoulder in, turn on the forehand and haunches, etc). He has all the skills one would want on the ground, including lunging, groundwork, clipping, and hauling. Despite being perfectly well behaved for small children, he is best suited for a rider who knows proper w/t/c aids so he can show off his skills properly! This handsome horse is available to try at the Horse Park at Woodside and will continue to show and develop until sold. Upper 30s.
