Looking to fill each of the following positions: Beginner Lesson Instructor, Camp Director & Office Help

We are looking for a part time or full time horseback riding instructor/camp director who is able to teach beginner walk, trot, and canter lessons and run our winter/spring/summer camps. Horse experience is a must as well as being familiar with english style riding and instruction.

An office position is also available to help take phone calls and schedule lessons as well as checking people in for their lessons and managing the horses daily schedules.
All openings are available for full or part time as well as the option to live on-site. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.

We are looking for staff to work at our barn where we teach riding & horsemanship to children as young as 2.5 years old through seniors, no age limit. Job requirements are: Experienced hunt seat rider to do some teaching , some riding, assist with daily care and meds for our 20+ school horses and assist in office when needed. Our next Spring Down schooling show is on Sunday, June 9 and we are excited to announce that SMCHA is going to be sponsoring 6 lucky riders in 3 of their classes!! All you have to do is register for the show and let the office know that you’re interested in the sponsorship! On top of that, highpoint winners will have the chance to be posted in their next magazine! There are still many open spots and as always outside riders are welcome! Do you love horses and wish to share your knowledge and passion with others? Then Spring Down is the place to be!
We teach horsemanship from the ground up from 2.5 years of age - to seniors with no age limit.

Spring Down has been in business for 38 years and takes great pride in their 32 school horses many of whom are retired from the race track or the mustang rescues. They have been retrained for the school program to provide lessons at the very beginning entry level - all the way to advanced jumping.

We are looking for instructors open to teaching weekends full or part time available. Instructors must be able to teach Hunt seat equitation, Dressage, a little bit of Western, and most important, safety on the ground and mounted.

SDEC HORSE SHOW UPDATE! The show this Sunday March 6th is limited to Spring Down horses and riders only! Due to EHV-1 we are unable to allow any outside horses onto the property. We hope to see everyone at our June 5th show!
