The last of the King Street Quads is getting spayed today. Sweet little Jewel was scheduled to get spayed in February but then she decided to come into her first heat cycle. So we had to wait until today. Thankfully she has a wonderful adoptive home lined up that has been taking very good care of her waiting for today to make it final.

We are so happy for jewel. We still have her brother Prince available for adoption and then we will have adopted out every single one of these sweet adorable chihuahuas that we could. All the puppies found fantastic homes and the two adults were able to find a great rehab home. They are going to take years to recover from the abuse they went through but the puppies are all the sweetest things.

I absolutely love being a matchmaker. These puppies deserved all the good things in life.

Say Hello to CHEETO!!!!!

Our newest little visitor to Valhalla! This boy is neutered microchipped up-to-date on his vaccines and ready to find his forever home. He is good with other dogs, he can be playful and rambunctious and he's great with kids.

He needs some patience when it comes to learning the rules of living on the inside but I'm sure with time and the right motivation he will come around. Smart, intelligent and protective, this small breed dog is a mystery on what exactly he is. I'm guessing poodle, chihuahua, maybe wire-haired terrier thrown in there just for good measures.

If anybody would love to donate a Wisdom Panel, we would love to use one on him.

If you are interested in adopting him contact us. He is getting listed on Petfinders as I speak.

The babies spent their 1st night in their new outside coop.
I'm only going to let them hang out in the underneath part for the next week or so while I get the big part of the yard finished up for them. It's weird that the ramp to go in and out is so steep but I'm sure they'll be able to figure it out chicks did too it might just take a couple of days.
They are really going to like the whole yard. I'm hoping they'll kind of dig up some of the little plants there and weeds so I can get rid of them so we can do the reciting of the house this summer.
Thank you Larry Su for helping me out with getting it ready for their teen years.

🚨UPDATE: I tried to call the number back that he left for us and it appears to be the wrong number. I don't know how that could have happened. He gave it to larry, Larry wrote it directly into the phone and then had him confirm that it was the right number.

We are trying to look for him to help, so if anyone knows of a black (maybe dark green ) pickup pictured or this dog in the Winlock area, please let me know.

Saturday morning at Valhalla rescue. People often come to us after referrals from the shelter looking for places to place their dogs. This sweet girl needs a foster home.

The dogs of Lewis County need the help of the people of Washington state. Valhalla Rescue covers all expenses while a dog is in our foster care program.

This sweet dog needs your help. I had to turn her away this morning, because I just dont have anywhere for her to stay, but I know that it's just a matter of time for her.

Please share, please donate so that we can eventually build something to help these dogs or please share. We cannot do this without the support of the community and the state. So many dogs are being abandoned these days. Let's not let this one be another victim.

Igor Mykhaylovych Lytvynchuk, 38, of Covington, Washington, was charged by criminal complaint on May 12, 2026, accused of throwing a rock at endangered Hawaiian monk seal “Lani” on Maui. He has officially been arrested by federal agents near Seattle and is due to appear in court on May 14.

Witnesses say and video confirms, he threw a large rock toward the seal, then reportedly claimed he didnt care and is “rich enough to pay the fines.”

Apparently he wasn’t rich enough to avoid custody. Now lets make sure his money goes to a good cause.

Oh, heyyyy! Just staring out this window looking for my forever family… is that you??

Pebbles is 3, spayed, up to date on all her vaccines and microchipped . Plus, she is very very sweet.
She loves running on the beach and fetch. She knows “sit” “down” “kennel” and “go”. She’s learning more everyday. She is an excellent cuddler and likes to keep an eye on the neighborhood.

Do you know someone that needs some Cocoa Pebbles in their life?? Contact us here at Valhalla Rescue

Dogs are all down for the night, I'm going to mop some floors while listening to some podcast.

I thought I'd send everyone off for the evening with some beautiful updated pictures of Bubba.
Bubba's the Sweet Little shih tzu mix that we received from the family of a local senior after she passed away suddenly in the hospital.

He had his check up and he's as healthy as an old senior can be. He does need a dental, but that's to be expected. He has a couple of big lipomas but our doctor is not too worried about them and of course he has a heart murmur. (I don't think any of the small dogs we have gotten in the last year haven't had heart murmurs of one type or another).

Kids in a wonderful foster home where he has settled in and totally fallen in love with his first sister, Olive. We are not even sure if we are going to be able to break them up. When I took him to the vet last week Foster mama said that Olive was just beside herself stressing out and pacing until Bubba came home. ❤️❤️❤️
This little boy just steals my heart. He behaved so well at the vets and allowed all sorts of handling for his exam. He never once looked cross-eyed or growled or anything while we looked at his teeth and squeezed his lumps and bumps and put stuff in his eyes and everything that happened. He just loved it and accepted all the attention .
From the story I've heard besides losing his mama, he also lost his companion and his human sister, all within the last year. This poor boy has gone through so much loss. It is nice to see him making a connection. We love foster homes because of the love they give our dogs but we also know that we are walking a fine line because our dogs get settled in and become comfortable.
We also know though that it's a transfer their love this easily to a foster home they will do it for their forever home even more. We are going to hope the best for him and stay tuned to see what this Sweetheart's future brings.
