"Spay a Stray on Saturday!"
Our rescue has several kittens ready for adoption. The struggle to find homes is real. Is it because we are located in a rural area? Or because we are competing with so many free kittens on social media? Our foster to adopt fee is $150.00. This fee is to help cover our most expensive cost of the spay/neuter surgeries.
We have opportunities to transfer our kittens to larger rescues near Seattle area. There, they are adopted quickly.
These rescues often have in house veterinary services to take care of spay/neuter surgeries. With kitten season, their surgery spots fill up quickly which delays their ability to accept new cats/kittens. If we can spay our kittens now, it gives them better chances of being transferred.
When we transfer kittens to other rescues, it frees up a foster home and then we can help other cats/kittens in our community.
Can you help us with these costs? A spay/neuter costs us $120.00 per cat/kitten. Any amount of support is appreciated. We have two appointments scheduled.

Our sweet, sassy, fighter, Rey is doing so well.
We caught her at a project in June. We lost sleep worrying about her. We knew we needed to find her. She was all alone, emaciated and sick.
She healed well and then got exposed to panleukopenia. We treated her and 12 others for weeks but we were definitely overwhelmed. We tried not to handle them all to avoid transferring the virus.
In the end, Rey did not get the virus but her socialization was hindered. Because she was alone in a kennel, she loved to bite and nip as a form of play. So we brought her together with Tawny. Tawny had been so patient with Rey. She has taught Rey that biting hurts.
Rey is almost ready for adoption. She is still a bit "wild at heart" but purrs on her terms. Haha, that's nothing new from a cat.
We are just so proud of her journey and loved seeing her heal and thrive.
We cannot express enough how rewarding this experience is to help a kitten grow up big and strong.💪
We are not heroes or miracle workers. We just do what we can with the time and resources we have.
All of us can make a difference when we invest ourselves.❤️
