🧁🐶 BAKING Critter Day Camp 🐱🥣 Do your kids love animals and baking? We have the purr-fect critter camp coming up! The kiddos will meet sweet shelter pets, learn about dog-safe foods, and make delicious treats for dogs and humans 😊 PLUS each participant will receive a free ticket to Woofstock!

The baking class will be on Saturday, Sept 19th, from 9 AM - 4 PM 🗓️ Ages 9-18 are welcome, regardless of baking experience! Sign up at the link below 👇

Turbo LOVES water!! 🐶💦 He wants someone to adopt him and take him to our upcoming puppy pool party! Dog Days of Summer will be at College Hill Pool on Monday, September 7th, from 5:30-7:30. If your dog loves water and furry friends, make plans to join the party! Entrance fees are $10 per dog and $1 per spectator. Proceeds go to care for your local homeless pets at KHS 🐾🩵 Guests can get tickets at the gate during the event or online at kshumane.org/dogdaysofsummer 🎟️ Turbo is about 6 years old, is well-behaved, and does GREAT with kids and new people! 📚 Next Saturday is Read to Rover! 🐶 Make plans to bring the kids (in grades 1st- 5th) to KHS for reading time with furry friends! We’ll be doing 30-minute sessions at 10:00, 10:30, and 11:00 AM (limit 1 session per child). As always, we're excited to partner with Love On A Leash, who are bringing their certified therapy dogs for this paw-some morning 🐕‍🦺 Reading to a dog is less stressful for a kid, and MUCH MORE FUN!

To save your spot, we take a $5 refundable deposit, which will be returned when you arrive. If you don’t attend, this deposit will be kept as a donation ❤️ Spots are limited, so don’t miss out! Register online at the link below 👇

From humble beginnings in 1996, Woofstock has grown into a local tradition and the BIGGEST dog festival in the Midwest! It's also our biggest fundraiser every year 🙌 In just one day, our community raises crucial funds to save local homeless pets! Our team works year-round to prepare, and this Woofstock will be BIGGER THAN EVER 🎉👀

Woofstock has countless fun things to do with your dog! Get their energy out at the Woof Walk, Ruff Races, and Lure Course, before heading to the Costume Contest, Musical Chairs, and even MORE 🐾🤯 Stock up on goodies from vendors, visit the kids area if you’re with family, then hit the food trucks and head to the stage! There’ll be live music and events throughout the day, as well as a dog-friendly Beer Garden, all at the Sedgwick County Park from 10 AM - 3 PM 🍻The big day will be on Saturday, October 3rd! 🗓️ Snag your tickets at the gate, or NOW at kshumane.org/woofstock 🎟️

After the book, the toddlers will make crafts and get the chance to meet one of our sweetest shelter pets 🐶🐱 It's a great opportunity for young kids to learn how to safely greet new animals!
