We were proud to attend and help sponsor the WSU Tech Veterinary Community CE Conference this past Saturday, June 6!

This event was designed specifically for the veterinary support team, bringing together professionals for a day of continuing education, clinical skill-building, and career development. The speakers and presentations covered important topics that support excellence in modern veterinary practice.

We were especially proud to have our own Josie, RVT, VTS (ECC), Training Supervisor, among the presenters. Her session, "Am I the Drama... Or Is It the Perfusion Parameters?", showcased her passion for education and commitment to advancing veterinary medicine.

Pictured at our booth are Taryn, ER Technician; Lauren, ER Team Lead; and Josie, who enjoyed connecting with attendees and sharing information about our hospital and career opportunities.

Thank you to WSU Tech, the speakers, organizers, and everyone who stopped by to visit with us. We are honored to support continuing education and the growth of the veterinary community.

Fireworks season is right around the corner 🎆🐾

If your pet is sensitive to loud noises or has struggled with anxiety in the past, now is the time to plan ahead. Talk with your veterinarian early about whether anti-anxiety medications or calming support options may be appropriate for your pet.

A few additional ways to help prepare:
• Create a quiet, secure space for your pet to retreat to
• Close windows, blinds, and doors before fireworks begin
• Use white noise, TV, or calming music to help mask sounds
• Make sure your pet’s ID tags and microchip information are up to date

A little preparation now can go a long way in keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and supported through the noise.

National Microchipping Month is a great reminder to make sure your pet’s microchip information is up to date. 🐾

Even the most careful pet parents can experience the unexpected, and a registered microchip can help reunite lost pets with their families faster. If your pet already has a microchip, take a moment to confirm your contact information is current. If they are not microchipped yet, talk with your veterinarian about this simple and permanent form of identification.

A microchip can make all the difference when every moment counts. ❤️

Hot cars and rising temperatures can become dangerous for pets in just minutes. ☀️🐾

As the weather warms up, a few extra precautions can make all the difference in preventing a heat-related emergency:
• Never leave pets unattended in a vehicle
• Always provide fresh water and shade outdoors
• Walk pets during cooler morning or evening hours
• Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting, drooling, vomiting, or weakness

Did you know? Kansas law protects Good Samaritans who rescue pets or vulnerable people from dangerously hot vehicles, but there are important steps that must be followed:
✔️ The vehicle must be locked or inaccessible
✔️ The pet/person must appear to be in immediate danger
✔️ 911 or law enforcement must be contacted
✔️ The rescuer must stay with the pet/person until help arrives

Stay mindful, stay prepared, and help keep your pets safe this season. ❤️
