Not so friendly cat is not pleased to be at the shelter

This male cat, is 7 pounds and unsure of age due to not being able to handle him. He is rightfully upset to be at the shelter and voices that loudly. He may be a feral guy, with airplane ears and dilated eyes. When they tried to offer him a treat with the cat hand, as it got closer the more his eyes dilated and they tried to pet him with the cat hand, when he swatted and hissed at the cat hand. He just wants to go back to where he was.

Sweet little nervous girl just wants to open up in a quiet space

This precious girl was laying under the stool sleeping when rescue went to meet her. Staff was able to give her treats from the cat hand and pet her with it after awhile she did allow staff to pet her. She will need a calm peaceful home to decompress in and offer her love to the humans.

Luna was one a loving house cat, now scared and afraid

Luna is scared/nervous but warms up and becomes friendly after a bit. She is 11 years old and ended up in a shelter cause her family is moving and couldn't take her with them. She is confused and scared, as any kitty would be. We solidly believe in a house environment she would open up after a bit. Her owners describe her as a sedentary girl and nap queen. She is a great mouser and even brings home her trophies, but she's ready to be fully indoors and safe from harm. She doesn't like being picked up or held, and is not a fan of loud or sudden noises. She has severe tartar, gingivitis, and dental pain, and nuclear sclerosis.

Sweet little boy with a dead tail

When rescue team went to see this little guy, he put up a tough and spicy act, but when they go to pick him up he melted into their arms. He is 2 months old and 1.9 lbs. He was crying for more love when they left the room. He has a degloved tail tip which is dead and shriveled, needing amputation. He is available for rescue pull to get surgery.

Dr Grey just wants to see brighter days

When Rescue came to visit Dr. Grey, he was fast asleep but woke up and immediately started to purr and came to the kennel door for attention. He was so cuddly and laid on his back for Rescue to pet his tummy while purring making biscuits. He was really focused on just getting petted and would purr louder when he was getting petted.

Jethro needs further kidney care

🆘❌A186824 – RESCUE PULL❌🆘
Jethro is an incredibly sweet boy and has been through so much. Jethro came to WAS on 4/29 and is currently at a foster home after his stray hold. He tested positive for a yeast infection and cocci in his ears, along with a small wound on his ear from scratching. This was 5/1, he was treated and is better now. Jethro was brought in by his foster on 5/7 for urinating outside of his litterbox. There was nothing found at that time that was any concern. On 5/17, he had a UA done and showed bacteria and was given Clavamox for 7 days, Meloxidyl for 3 days, and Gabapentin for 5. His body condition is 2 of 9, heart and lungs in normal limits and membranes pink/moist. 5/18 the foster reported that Jethro was lethargic since beginning the meds. DVM showed bright, alert, responsive, and chose to discontinue Gabapentin. Blood panel was run on 5/24 and it was discovered he has kidney disease. He also has a wound on his front leg that was open and healing. Due to kidney disease, and based on more upcoming information, he needs a rescue ASAP.

Friendly mama and kittens need a foster

This pretty gal is about 2 years old with 2 kittens in tow who are about 4 weeks of age or so. Mama is a bit congested and sneezing. She will need to be pulled by a vet and rescue to get her out of the shelter. She and her babies deserve the best life but we cant do it without rescues and fosters. Every rescue is at capacity due to kitten season and accepting new fosters!

This very sweet and itchy girl is 4 lbs and younger in age, has a body condition score of 1/9. She is missing many teeth but what she does have left look okay. She has significant hair loss with ulcerations and plaque on her skin, possible rodent ulcer on the upper lip and trying to rule out eosinophilic granuloma complex. She needs a special rescue who can help with her needs.
