This little guy has already had a hell of a fight in his first tiny chapter. 🤍 Meet NACHITO, the tiniest nacho morsel! He is merely 100 grams, a Fluffy Shark 2.0 mighty warrior!
Born a special-needs Chihuahua, less than a day old, needing tube feedings and intensive neonatal care, his start has been anything but easy. But right now, we’re celebrating the wins: he’s finally eating well, pottying beautifully, maintaining his temperature in the brooder, and holding his own. For a baby this fragile, those “little” victories are actually enormous.
And I need to give some serious love and gratitude to my fellow rescue family at Rainbow Heart Rescue who stepped up to foster him for me while I’m out of town this week. There was no hesitation—just a collective “Yep. We’re giving this baby every damn chance he deserves.” Rescue is supposed to look like this. Organizations supporting one another, sharing experience, losing sleep together, and putting egos aside because one tiny life matters.
He still has a road ahead of him, and with neonates we take absolutely nothing for granted. But tonight he is warm. He is fed. He is comfortable. He is cared for. He is loved. He has his stuffy “momma” he’s snuggled in with and suckling on. And most importantly, he has an entire village fighting for him. 🤍🐾
Sometimes rescue isn’t one person saving a life. Sometimes it’s a whole bunch of people reaching in at exactly the right moment and refusing to let go. Today was the epitome of that!
