This Día de los Mu***os, we are creating an ofrenda memorial in our lobby to honor and remember the beloved pets who have passed, while also celebrating and welcoming the cultures and traditions that are meaningful to our staff, clients, and community.

We invite our clients to help us fill our ofrenda with the faces and memories of the pets who made such a special impact on their lives.

For a $20 donation to Evert’s Animal Relief Fund, you may submit a photo of your deceased pet to be included in our memorial. Donations are per pet and will help provide support to animals and families in need.

To participate:

Bring a 4x6 photo to us.

Include your pet’s name with the photo..

Make a $20 donation to Evert’s Animal Relief Fund per pet.

Photos must be received by October 23rd.

Whether they were with us for many years or far too short a time, the love we share with our pets leaves a lasting mark. We are honored to create a space where we can remember them together and celebrate the lives they touched.

Thank you for helping us honor their memories while supporting animals in our community.

Dr. Dawn Evert has a special way of making every patient feel safe, loved, and cared for. From the smallest concerns to the biggest moments, she gives each pet her time, attention, and plenty of cuddles along the way. 🥰
These photos say it all—sometimes being a veterinarian means getting down on the floor, wrapping your arms around a very loved patient, and making sure they know they’re in good hands. 🐶💕
We’re so lucky to have a doctor and owner who cares for her patients not just as patients, but as family. ❤️

🐾 September is National Pet Pain Awareness Month! 🐾

Our pets are experts at hiding pain. They may not be able to tell us when something hurts, but their behavior often can. ❤️

Watch for subtle signs like:
🐶 Less energy or reluctance to play
🐱 Hiding or withdrawing
🐾 Limping or difficulty getting up
🛏️ Sleeping more than usual
🍽️ Changes in appetite
😾 Irritability or changes in behavior
🧼 Changes in grooming habits

Pain isn’t always obvious—and it shouldn’t be considered a normal part of getting older. If you notice a change in your pet, trust your instincts and talk with your veterinarian.

At Claus Paws Animal Hospital, we want every pet to be comfortable, happy, and living their best life. 🐾❤️

Because our pets may not be able to say “it hurts,” but we can learn to listen.

Where are our English bulldog lovers at?!

Meet Chevy - he is a 3 year old English bulldog looking for a temporary or forever home! He is currently in need of a foster home (foster failing is always an option if wanting to adopt). He is a sweet boy and has a lovely temperament. He is currently not neutered (but will be soon) so he does have the occasional desire to mark in the home - he will come with some belly bands!

All supplies included for fostering - please reach out if interested!
