‼️‼️UPDATE‼️‼️
Owner has been located and has contacted us. Owner will have to go through the redemption process and we are going to assess whether or not we are comfortable giving the dog back even if he goes through the redemption process. We have received several messages about the dogs condition, being underweight, wandering the streets often and kept outside all the time. AC will do their investigation and make a determination.

Found on 23rd st. off hoosick. Male. A Good Samaritan neighbors trapped him in her yard and we have him now. Please let us know if you recognize him.

Rensselaer county has a FREE rabies clinic this Saturday. We encourage any of our residents to sign up if you have pets not vaccinated for rabies. Schodack is a little bit of a drive but not too bad. With vet care so expensive these days, it maybe well worth the trip. Rabies is a requirement to license a dog with the city of Troy and all dogs are required to be licensed. You only need to be a resident of Rensselaer County, not the town of Schodack! Please take advantage of this if you need! Details in the county’s post.

Coming up, an excellent to keep dogs and cats safe! Our free rabies clinic on October 17 is open to Rensselaer County residents and will be held in Schodack.

We are truly speechless and literally brought to tears by this generous donation from Bubba’s Beds for Shelter Friends! These folks were more than happy to bring us what our pups needed and wanted no credit or recognition for it. Shelter life, although temporary, isn’t easy on pups and these beds will make it a little better and much more comfortable for them! We can not thank you enough for brightening the day and stay of our beloved dogs!

Bubbas beds (link in shared City Hall post) only asks that you continue to spread their name so they can reach more shelters in need and continue to pay it forward. We now have all the beds we need and will close out our wish list! Thank you also to those who sent beds from our wish list. We have the greatest community here and again, thank you will never be enough! 🐶🛏️
