Some of our most recent very happy adoption updates from bunnies who were met and fell in love with right here at Bunny Haven Cafe, then officially adopted through our wonderful rescue partners at Kind Heart Rescue. 🤍🐰

First up: Ashley and her family didn’t just adopt one bun… they adopted THREE! 🥹 Oakley, Snowball & Cluster are a bonded trio who get to stay together forever. 🤍🤍🤍

Next, sweet Cannoli found her forever home with Estellina & Ryan- and Grandma and Grandpa came along for the big day too! 🥰

Milo, aka “Lonely Boy,” was adopted by Jordyn & Michael… and we’re very happy to report that Lonely Boy is lonely no more. 🥹🐰

And Sir-Thumps-a-Lot has officially found his people with the Urbanek family and is already living his absolute best bun life. 👑🐇

Seeing bunnies who spent time with us at Bunny Haven leave for loving, permanent homes is exactly what this is all about. Huge congratulations to all of these new bun families, and a huge thank you to Kind Heart Rescue for making every adoption possible. 🤍

Here’s to many, many more happily ever afters. 🐰🏡✨

School is back, summer crowds have slowed down, and there are finally more opportunities to snag a session and spend 45 minutes hanging out with some very adorable rescue bunnies.

If you’re 18+, have bunny experience, love being active, don’t mind a little (okay... a lot of) bunny p**p, and enjoy making people smile, we’d love to meet you!
Requirements:
🤍 18 or older only
🤍 MUST HAVE FULL AVAILABILITY MONDAYS, TUESDAYS & FRIDAYS! Weekend availability a plus
🤍 Bunny experience a major plus
🤍 Includes rabbit care (yes, this includes p**p!)
🤍 This is an active, on-your-feet position
🤍 Must be outgoing and enjoy interacting with guests

Bunny Haven Cafe is a proud partner of our friends at Kind Heart Rescue, so we want to provide a little reminder about the humans behind the rescue. 🤍
Kind Heart Rescue is a nonprofit run by volunteers. The people answering adoption inquiries are the very same people out there catching abandoned bunnies, transporting them to safety, feeding and caring for them every single day, coordinating foster homes, driving to and from veterinary appointments, managing medical care, processing applications, checking references, arranging meet-and-greets, and making sure every bunny is placed in a safe, appropriate home.
And they are doing all of this on their own time, for free.
When a rescue suddenly takes in a group of babies, or any new rabbits, the workload doesn’t just mean answering more Instagram messages. It means actual lives that immediately need housing, food, cleaning, medical attention, transportation and ongoing care.
So if you’ve reached out and haven’t received an immediate response, please be patient and kind. A delayed reply does not mean you are being ignored. It means a small group of volunteers is doing an enormous amount of work behind the scenes.
The goal is not to adopt rabbits out as quickly as possible. The goal is to make sure they never need rescuing again.
And if you’re frustrated by how much work there is and how few hands there are to do it… rescues can always use more volunteers, fosters, donations and support.
Please keep in mind that a little grace goes a long way. 🩶🐰

WE WERE ON NEWS 12! 🐰📺
We’re so excited to have Bunny Haven Café featured on News 12’s Road Trip: Close to Home!
Seeing our little café and, most importantly, the incredible rescue bunnies behind it featured like this is pretty surreal.
Bunny Haven was created to give people a place to slow down, connect with these amazing animals, learn more about proper rabbit care, and help rescue bunnies find the loving homes they deserve.

🚗🐰 **A quick travel tip before you hop on over!**

Traffic heading into Downtown Toms River can sometimes be unpredictable, especially during busier times, so we always recommend allowing a little extra travel time before your reservation. 💚

Our bunny sessions begin and end promptly so we can stay on schedule for each group, and arriving late unfortunately means less time with the bunnies.

We want you to enjoy every minute of your visit, so plan for a little traffic, arrive with time to spare, and then get ready for 45 minutes of bunny time! 🐇🩷
