🌞🐶 Don't Let Summer Fun Turn Dangerous – Protect Your Dog from Heat Stroke! 🐶🌞

As temperatures rise, our dogs are at risk of overheating much faster than we are. Heat stroke can happen in just minutes and is a life-threatening emergency.

🐾 Help keep your dog safe:
✅ Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
✅ Walk early in the morning or later in the evening.
✅ Avoid hot pavement—it can burn paw pads.
✅ Never leave your dog in a parked car, even with the windows cracked.
✅ Give your dog access to shade and cool places to rest.
✅ Watch for signs of overheating:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Bright red gums
• Weakness or stumbling
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Collapse

🚨 If you suspect heat stroke: Move your dog to a cool area immediately, offer cool (not ice-cold) water, wet them with cool water, and contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary clinic right away.

A little extra caution can make all the difference. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy a safe summer with your best friend! ❤️🐕

Did you know a dog’s nose print is unique — just like a human fingerprint? 👃🐾

No two dog noses are exactly alike! In fact, some organizations have even used nose prints for identification.

That amazing nose can also smell up to 100,000 times better than ours… which explains how they always know when the treat bag opens from another room. 😂

🐾 HOT PAVEMENT = HOT PAWS 🐾

As the temperatures rise, remember this: if the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws! ☀️🔥

Blacktop, sidewalks, and even sand can burn your dog’s paw pads in seconds during summer weather.

✅ Walk early morning or later evening
✅ Stick to grass when possible
✅ Test pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds
✅ Bring water on walks
✅ Watch for limping or licking paws
