Last week, our club had the pleasure of hearing from Kimberly Clements, Lead Educator with the Georgia DNR at The MEEC - The McDuffie Environmental Education Center.

Kimberly shared the incredible work being done at MEEC to connect people of all ages with nature through environmental education, conservation, and hands-on learning experiences. She even brought along a special guest—a live reptile—which gave members a unique opportunity to learn more about Georgia's native wildlife.

Thank you, Kimberly, for an engaging and educational presentation and for all you do to inspire environmental stewardship in our community!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we also pause to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything for them. 🇺🇸

Yesterday’s meeting was a meaningful time of reflection and remembrance as we heard from Captain William Johnson of the United States Air Force and welcomed the family of Fallen Soldier Jerry L. Wilson, who gave his life in service during Iraqi Freedom. 🇺🇸

We were honored to have Daisy Wilson, Susan Milton, Rhonda and Charlie Crawford, and Freddie Taylor, Sr. join us as special guests as we recognized and remembered Jerry’s sacrifice and legacy.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the meeting such a special and heartfelt gathering.

Last week we had the pleasure of hearing from the Laws of Life Essay Winners from Thomson High School — and what a privilege it was. 🙌

Each student took the floor and read their essay aloud, and we have to say — the room felt it. Their words were moving, thoughtful, and a powerful reminder of the incredible young people growing up in our community.
