The Frozen litter said, โ€œLET IT GO!โ€ and one puppy took that a little too literally....Watch until the end for an unexpected takeoff!

We had Holmberg's Morning Sickness on 98 KUPD helping us promote a waived adoption offer for the first puppy from our Frozen litter to find a home, but apparently someone was ready to end the interview early. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿถ

Our ACT Lead noticed some empty spots on our food shelves and decided to fill them herself. Unfortunately, Feather is not an acceptable substitute for dog or kitten food.

We're urgently looking for donations of:

๐Ÿฑ Wet kitten food

๐Ÿถ Hill's Science Diet dog food (any breed size!)

Help us fill these shelves with actual food so Feather can get back to her real job. ๐Ÿ˜‚

256 days later, Ostara is HOME! ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ

Ostara first came to Lost Our Home in January through our Temporary Care Program when her owner was facing job loss and eviction while searching for stable housing. Unfortunately, circumstances prevented them from reuniting, and Ostara eventually became available for adoption.

Ostara was very timid, and even after spending time with familiar faces, she still struggled to feel completely comfortable (unless she was in the agility room, then she was having the best time of her life).

But every single one of us knew how special she was. We knew that underneath all that timidness was a sweet, affectionate, playful pup who just needed someone to give her the time and space to feel safe.

And on October 3, Ostara finally got her chance!

Her new mom sent us an update after just ONE DAY, and we couldn't be happier:

"Day 1 went super well. She's adjusting quickly to her new home! Already attached to me (new mom) at the hip, loves cuddling and walks! She's so smart and gentle, we will get there with some love and time! She's a perfect fit and she's so happy. I'm in love!!!"

Happy tails, Ostara!

Izzy is one of our longest-stay dogs, and after spending so much time in the shelter, she's grown timid and shy. She's tired of shelter life, and we can't blame her.

But watch what happens when John spends just a few minutes with her and a bag of treats. ๐Ÿฅน Little by little, she starts to warm up, showing glimpses of the sweet girl we know is still there.

Recently, an adopter shared with us that they never would have guessed the dog they first met at the shelter would turn out to be the dog they have at home today. And that's exactly what we want people to understand about dogs like Izzy.

The dog you meet in a shelter isn't always the dog you'll get to know in a home.

Izzy doesn't need someone to fall in love with her in the first five minutes. She needs someone willing to give her the time, patience, and love to feel safe enough to be herself.

Two years is long enough. Let's get Izzy home. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ
