It’s with a happy heart that we say goodbye to Clair as she heads off to her new home! She’ll be spending her days with her new owner, enjoying morning and afternoon walks, exploring parks, going on hikes, and joining in all kinds of other dog-friendly activities.

Clair, you’ve been such a joy to have around, and we’ll miss you. Thank you to everyone who helped her along the way. Here’s to many happy adventures ahead!

Meet Pancake — Your New Best Friend! 🐾

Pancake is a 2-year-old Bernedoodle weighing in at 70 pounds of love! She joined our adoption program when her family was no longer able to care for her, and now she’s ready to find a forever home where she can share all her love and snuggles.

Pancake is a sweet, loving girl with a medium energy level. She has experience attending doggie daycare, living with other dogs, and participating in training. She is both house-trained and crate-trained, making her a wonderful companion for her future family!

🎾 A few of Pancake’s favorite things:

Playing fetch with her favorite squeaky ball
Playing with her very own Pancake toy 🥞
Snuggling on the couch and soaking up belly rubs
Earning tasty treats — she’s very food-motivated!
Showing off her good manners and training skills
Pancake knows her basic commands, including sit, stay, down, come, up, and place. She’s a smart girl who enjoys learning and is ready to keep building on the skills she already knows.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion who enjoys both fun and cozy cuddle time, Pancake might just be your perfect match!

Rain or shine, rescue happens! 🌧️❤️🐾

Tuesday, our amazing volunteers braved the rain to welcome some beautiful new dogs to Helping Hounds! ☔🐶

A HUGE thank-you to our fosters, transporters, staff, volunteers, and new families for the love, care, and compassion that make these second chances possible. We couldn't do it without you! ❤️

Big congratulations to our newest graduates!! 🎓

Arya, Cocoa and Ghost have officially completed their First Steps training class! Over the past several weeks, these pups and their people have been working together to strengthen communication and set themselves up for success in everyday life. Now it’s time to celebrate how far they’ve come 👏

Myron went home to live with human brother and sister as well as a kitty sibling. He will go for lots of walks (and even runs if he wants) with his new mom. He will be included in family activities and get plenty of attention.
