Our mission is to provide exceptional, modern veterinary medicine and to develop long-lasting relationships with owners and their pets.

We believe the best way to accomplish this is with a thorough approach to medical care and customer service. Since our patients can’t speak, a carefully performed physical exam is critical to good preventative, medical, and surgical care. Collaboration with owners is foundational to our approach which is why we discuss our physical exams as they are being done so you know what we are looking for and any abnormalities present. We apply this process to all aspects of our practice so owners have all the information, recommendations, and options to make the best healthcare choices for their pets. We take our fiduciary responsibility seriously because earning and maintaining your trust is critical to our business. We would love the opportunity to earn your trust!

🍂 Fall here… but Missouri is still feeling a little more like summer! ☀️

Even with cooler temperatures on the way, fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes can still be active—especially while we’re experiencing these lingering heat waves. That means parasite prevention is still important for your pets!

🕷️ Ticks can remain active as temperatures stay mild.
🦟 Mosquitoes can continue to pose a heartworm risk.
🪲 Fleas can make themselves very comfortable both outside and inside your home.
So while we're ready for pumpkin weather, cozy sweaters, and changing leaves… 🍁🎃 don't pack away your pet's parasite prevention with the sunscreen and flip-flops just yet! ☀️🩴🐾

Keep your pets protected through the changing seasons. 🐾❤️

Are you ready for fall, or are you still sweating through the Missouri summer? 😂👇

Jazzy is here to steal the spotlight! 🐱✨

Just look at that face! Those big eyes, fluffy cheeks, and adorable little paws have us completely smitten. 💕 Jazzy is definitely reminding us that sometimes the best part of the day is simply getting to spend it with our furry friends. 🐾

We’re so happy to have you as part of the Pet Health Center family, Jazzy! 🩷

🐾 Is your pet slowing down—or are they actually living with arthritis?

Osteoarthritis is one of the most common causes of chronic pain in dogs and cats, but the signs can be easy to overlook. You may notice your pet:
• Hesitating to climb stairs or jump
• Having difficulty getting up or lying down
• Playing or walking less
• Sleeping more than usual
• Becoming less interested in activities they once loved
• Acting a little more irritable or withdrawn

These changes aren't always something we should chalk up to “just getting older.” ❤️

At Pet Health Center, we have options to help manage osteoarthritis pain and improve your pet's mobility and quality of life.
🐶 Librela® is an injectable treatment designed to help control osteoarthritis pain in dogs.
🐱 Solensia® is an injectable treatment designed to help control osteoarthritis pain in cats.

Every pet is different, so our veterinary team can help determine whether either option may be appropriate for your pet.

If you've noticed your pet isn't moving like they used to, let's talk about it. Their “slowing down” could actually be pain—and there may be something we can do to help. 🐾

Daisy understood the assignment: look cute, pose for the camera, and secure the treat. 🦴😂

We’d say she nailed all three. ❤️🐾

❤️ **Sometimes, the best treatment is prevention.**

Routine wellness exams give us the opportunity to catch changes before they become bigger problems. From checking your pet’s heart and weight to monitoring dental health, screening bloodwork, vaccines, and parasite prevention, preventative care can make a life-changing difference.

Our pets can’t tell us when something doesn’t feel right. Regular veterinary visits help us notice the things you may not see at home. 🐶🐱

**A yearly exam isn’t just a check-up—it could be the visit that saves your pet’s life.** 🐾

📅 Keep your pet’s preventative care up to date. Their future self will thank you!

Does your dog suddenly seem reluctant to run, jump, or put weight on a back leg? It may not be "just a sprain."

A torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL)—similar to the ACL in people—is one of the most common orthopedic injuries in dogs. Left untreated, it can lead to pain, arthritis, and decreased mobility.

At Pet Health Center, we offer **TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery**, an advanced orthopedic procedure designed to stabilize the knee and help dogs return to the activities they love.

If you've noticed limping, difficulty standing, or hesitation on stairs, don't wait. The sooner your pet is evaluated, the sooner we can discuss the best treatment options.
