SAS Prince of Tides++/ (SAS Sea N Red x AM Happy HeyDay) bred and owned by Eric and Pam Stowe, had a great SHN.

He was once again Top 10 (4th) in the PB gelding SHIH HT Open!

This year Prince did something new and truly lived up to his name teaming up with Bailey. I could not be prouder of what this team accomplished as only their 4th ride together was down centerline in the PB WD Basic ATR and they came out 12th! Bailey is also new to the dressage ring and had a ride that made everyone tear up. They paired up together again in the PB gelding SHIH HT ATH and just missed the Top 10 coming in 11th. Bailey made sure Prince shinned and both judges commented on the beautiful job she did. While that was supposed to be the end of their journey, we all talked and did a rider change putting Bailey in the Basic Open. After riding for an hour in the downpour over in the equitation ring, Bailey dried off and changed her clothes for another trip down centerline. They did wonderful again and were only 1 point off their ATR score. This team made my heart so proud and I cannot wait to see what they can accomplish next year with more time together!

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone!

The farm is just not the same without these two matriarch mares out in the pasture. It is never easy saying goodbye, even when they have lived a long healthy life.

The girls had lived together for the majority of their life and we knew that as hard as it would be for us, losing them both the same day was the best thing for them. As they now run pain free across green pastures, September 3 will always be a day that tears at our heart strings.

2026 SHN is in the books. Thank you so much to the commission for putting on another successful show.

It was another year of amazing breakfasts with many thanks to Norene and lunches with everyone always chipping in for the menu.

We felt all the love with the Buffalo’s and while keeping them herded was always a challenge, we managed to keep them together. Though a few did wonder off before the final picture was taken.

This year was a little different, with more amateurs showing in classes, and me doing more coaching vs showing to help them reach their goals and dreams. I will say I am extremely proud of each and every one of them!! A ribbon is not always in the plan, though at this stage everyone wants to win one. We accomplished new things and they each now know what their homework is over the winter to come back stronger next year.
We had alot of near misses this year and 11th or 12th seemed to be where our number was. Something to always be proud of at this stage.

I love spending the 10 days with close friends that are family and getting to see the friends I only see a couple times a year. You all make my week so much more special and fun!
This year I was lucky enough to also get to spend the week with Bruce Griffin. His family always holds a special place in my heart and anytime I can spend time with them is a blessing. Though he might admit the first thing I asked was, “where is the kid?” Even though she is now a professional, Janea will always be young to me.

Thank you to all my clients for trusting me another year with your horses and allowing me to enjoy this wonderful journey we get to go on together. We now look forward and plan for an even better 2027!!

As always many thanks to Lee for keeping the horses and me feeling good all week.
