This post will likely spark debate and I'm going to say it anyways. If you reach out to us asking if we have rats for "sale" or "sell" rats, I will not reply/respond. It should go without saying that as a rescue we don't "sell" rats. I find it as offensive as people calling some rats "feeder" rats. All domestic rats are pet rats and all the rats we take in and find loving homes for are adopted not "sold." Our rats are not a transaction.

***Regarding bordetella - it's a live vaccine and they can shed it for up to 12 weeks and bordetella is often fatal to rats. We try to take every precaution we can and this is something we can control rats not being exposed to so it's a measure we take.***

We have a couple intakes coming in at the end of this week. I have foster placement for one but really need another quarantine foster for a rat that's coming in from a laboratory.

Requirements are: local to San Antonio, no rodents in the home and no dogs that get the bordetella vaccine.
