HRAS is celebrating National Cat Day today! Life is more complete with a cat in your lap, am I right? Tell us your favorite thing(s) about owning a cat. We love to see pictures of them as well, so share away! We have adoptable cats here at the shelter and they are hoping for a family to celebrate them today on National Cat Day, so come on down, we open at 1 pm for adoptions!

Luna absolutely rocked Paws to Read in King City and Greenfield! This fluffy, soft 6-year-old was a star from the moment she hopped into the van—then she charmed the kids with her calm, gentle ways. Even nervous readers didn’t ruffle her one bit!

Between sessions, Luna enjoyed a little stuffy demolition… followed by claiming the couch and curling up for a nap. Her dream day? A loving person, a comfy couch, a few stuffed animals—and maybe some kids to share the cuddles.

Meet Luna (A242214), a spayed, 6-year-old black Shepherd who’s ready to be your favorite reading buddy and couch companion.

Adoption hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 1–4 p.m.
If you already have a dog, please bring them for a required dog-to-dog meet-and-greet to check compatibility.

It’s Wednesday and that usually means there was a supervised playgroup today! We love that for the doggos. Today Nerissa, Atlas and Oliver romped around and burned off some pent-up energy and enjoyed the company of other dogs. They are wonderful dogs we hope you come meet them soon!!

All adoptions are first come first serve

If you are planning to adopt a dog and already own one, please bring your dog along to do a dog to dog meet & greet for compatibility. This is required.
