Big life changes have made me make some big girl decisions. After this fall breeding season I will be selling majority of the herd. My two bucks will be looking for a new herd after they are separated from the girls which should happen in the next couple of weeks. The boys are:

Drewem MJ Second to None, aka “Uno”
Blue eyes; dam (Bestie) has in my opinion one of the most incredible udders in the breed, and sire is equally impressive.

Moon Station Howl Pendragon
Blue eyes, moonspotted. Easily the best front end in my herd and he stamps his kids with it.

Today was a busy one! Blood tests✅, hooves trimmed✅, CDT vaccinations✅, and BoSe injections✅ DONE! I was supposed to give a dose of Replamin to everyone as well, but I apparently ran out and forgot to restock. 🥲 Needless to say, my back hurts.

Exciting new herdsire opportunity means I need to cut more numbers as my buck pen is getting full. My keeper buckling (the only one allowed to keep his 🥜 from my current kid crop) is looking for a new herd.

I have kept two full sibling does to this boy, and 5 total daughters from his sire Curbstone Valley A Kaminari. His dam, Curbstone Valley H Kleio is easily my favorite doe here, and she recently scored VVEE91 with an incredible 37 Rump Width, and 31 FUA, 36 RUH, 34 RUA udder. She also produced a whopping 6.8lbs on her first milk test this season! Kleio also recently placed 2nd 4yo doe at the highly competitive Mid State Dairy Goat Show in Paso Robles this year.

This buckling’s sire’s littermate, Curbstone Valley A Alize, scored VEEE91 on her LA as well, so he’s got a power packed pedigree on both sides of heavy hitters in the milk pan, and also confirmation-wise. This is a light line breeding on EEEE92 Algedi Farm RB Ocean Flower, one of, if not my favorite doe of all time. His pedigree is about as flashy as he is! I’m very picky as to who gets to stay a buckling around here, and this is only the third boy since 2019 who has gotten that opportunity. If he stays, I definitely wouldn’t be upset about it.

Dam is Urban Acres CRF-BH Vidalii who recently scored VEEE90, and her site Curbstone Valley A Kaminari’s littermate sister Curbstone Valley A Alize scored VEEE91. This doeling’s dam has the most buttery soft, easy to milk udder, and I’m definitely keeping a littermate sister to this doe. She is super sweet and mellow with the prettiest curly dark chocolate coat. If I had more room I would be keeping this girl for sure. I need to lighten the work load so I am very motivated to move her asap!

Both parents are blue eyed, so doeling is possibly homozygous. Her dam Ren is moving to a new home next week, so I am very motivated to lessen my work load and move this cutie asap!

4 wether Nigerian Dwarf goats looking for new yard to clean up! The buyer backed out, so I am very motivated to move them together this week. 9 weeks old, super friendly from being combo dam raised/bottle fed. They have just been banded and first CD/T shot given. Clean, tested herd, Prunedale, CA
