Great news! The Yakima Humane Society Spay & Neuter Clinic is extending our $99 Spay & Neuter Special into June! Just $99 for cats and dogs of any size, male or female, and that includes vaccines and a microchip! June appointments are going fast but next week is still open. Grab your spot before it's gone!

2 yr old Pitty girl who loves the outdoors! Perfect PNW pup! Hikes, swims, beaches, even mud or rain! She’s in!

Loves people, good with dogs once properly introduced. May be workable with cats. High energy, not your average house hippo!

Sadpole here to say he doesn’t have any treats. His new diet is tough. He can have non animal protein treats though if you care to send any. Otherwise, he will continue his current existential crisis. He couldn’t even have cheese this morning.

This we hope you’ll take a look! We could also use salt licks, fly traps, dewormer and a new AC cord!

Please, seek help! If you think making it impossible to escape will help their anxiety, I have a room full of spiders to cure your arachnophobia…

Unqualified "trainers" may tell you to just use an indestructible crate if your dog panics and is afraid to be left alone. This is one of the many well-meaning but dangerous pieces of advice given by people who are not qualified separation anxiety trainers.

While crate training has its place in some areas of dog training - house training, management and medical recovery come to the top of my mind, crating for separation anxiety is not one of those applications.

And separation anxiety definitely can't be cured by sending your dog away to boot camp. But there is hope! If you and your dog need help overcoming separation anxiety, reach out! As a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer, I can help with either 1:1 training or my self-paced course.

Thank you Christine!! We didn’t have any of our regular volunteers today but Christine stepped in! She picked up the new tortoise enclosure and some feed. Then she ran the gate and watched Tadpole so I could load hay for the cows. Woo hoo! Then, she took the rest of the packages to the post office! 🎉

The auction has officially SHIPPED!! 🥳🙌🍻

That was the last of our cow hay too 😬
