It’s been a hectic day here. I mean, I feel like they all are anymore 😮‍💨

I was up and out early to get Kronos to the vet for a 7:40 drop off. I’m sure he’s ready to get out of there! Soon, hopefully. He is having a dental, removing gum growths, X-rays and thorough check of his bleeding foot and if time, a growth removal. His neuter and pexy will have to wait a bit longer.

On the way home, I spotted the raven looking suspicious in the road. U turn and back to catch him. Had to climb down into a ditch and throw Tadpole’s blanket over him. Then climb back out with one hand. And drive home hoping he didn’t escape the blanket. He safely made it to Raindancer Wild Bird Rescue, yay!

I also dropped fluids at Kim’s for Dani and picked up the MudBay donations, thanks MB!

Stefanie picked up the Raven and dropped off in Olympia then ran up to Lacey for the Petco donations, thank you! Woo hoo! Thank you!

I tried taking a little break bc my knee is on fire. Then prepped more packages that likely will have to wait to go out tomorrow. I am ready to have this auction off my to do list! We are so close!

And of course all the animals here need fed and let out and in and out again, all the things. At least it isn’t raining!

Raindancer Wild Bird Rescue is a wildlife rehabilitation organization in Olympia, Washington. We specialize in the rehabilitation of orphaned, sick, or injured birds of prey, including eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, and vultures.

Do we have anyone available today that could transport a Raven from us in Oakville to Raindancer in (Olympia)? Looking for before 2 PM today if possible.

we are also looking for donations to be picked up at Lacey Petco if anyone is available for that. Obviously the Raven is the more important at this point.

Have you let your dog have a pumpkin? How’d they like it? Most chew off the stem but Zola went for the extra credit! What a fun enrichment! Plus Freddie & Max got to eat some pieces too.

TLDR: many packages are missing thank you cards and stickers. I hope you will see this and know you are appreciated!

The story; so for many hours and days, Kim and had been sorting and packing packages. At home, I filled out thank you cards. On Monday I brought them with me when we planned to finish prepping the packages to mail. We took Kronos to the vet first, as he has a foot that keeps bleeding (surgery is tomorrow!)

I remember taking the cards out of the car, then 💨! Gone. We searched but nothing. They still haven’t shown up. Soooo we packed up everything, leaving the boxes open so I could add cards later. My car was full!

Tuesday we had volunteers in the morning and then the vet out for Charlie. More on that soon! After lunch, I finally got myself back out and to the post office. Guess what I found? Yep. I forgot to add the cards and tape up the boxes.

I made the executive decision. I bought tape in PO and taped all the boxes in the parking lot. They all shipped and should be making their way to you! Sans cards though. Please forgive me.

I have two more packages to go tomorrow and that’s it! Done! We have a few unpaid still but not many. I still have a lot of pick ups though. Thank you to those who have made arrangements. If you haven’t, please do. It will get harder once the rain gets here.

Thanks again everyone! Thank you Kim for all the help! Now let’s never do this again! 😅
