Remember Little Gimpy goat? 🐐

She came into the world with a rough start and spent a good bit of time with her sheep friend Cup.
While her sheep buddy has already graduated to the barn, Little Gimpy is still fighting a tougher battle. One of her front legs just isn’t cooperating, but if you watch her for even a minute you’ll see something important…

This little goat refuses to quit.

She wants to move.
She wants to explore.
She wants to keep up with everyone else.

So today I decided to give her a little extra help.

After a day in the shop, some PVC pipe, and a lot of trial and error, Little Gimpy goat officially has her own goat wheelchair. 🛠️

Is it perfect? Nope.
Is it pretty? Also nope.

But if it gives this determined little goat a chance to build strength, learn balance, and keep trying, then it’s worth every second.

Because sometimes the smallest fighters just need a little support to keep going.

And if determination counts for anything… this girl has a whole lot of it. ❤️

If you’re rooting for Little Gimpy goat drop a ❤️ so she knows she has a whole team cheering her on.

Your wife does not want flowers for Valentine’s Day.

She wants baby goats.

Roses?
They die in a week.

Baby goats?
They climb on things.
They scream at you for snacks.
They steal your heart and your personal space.

This is romance.

So if you’re standing in the floral aisle at Safeway…
Put the bouquet down, sir.

Upgrade to livestock.

Both said LOL, watch this. 🖤🐑🏈

Cold start, underdog vibes, zero quit
wrapped up, warmed up, and ready to fight like it’s the fourth quarter and everything’s on the line.

Seattle doesn’t fold.
Neither do we.

From the barn to the Super Bowl — WE BELIEVE.
Go Hawks. 💚💙

They don’t know they’re different.
They don’t know they had a “rough start.”
They just know that when one lays down, the other follows.

A goat kid and a lamb, both fighters, both survivors, both finding peace in each other.

While the world teaches us to pick sides, keep score, and stay guarded, these two chose softness. They chose closeness. They chose comfort over fear.

Healing doesn’t come from being understood by everyone…. just from being seen by someone.

If animals can figure this out… maybe there’s still hope for us. 💛🐐🐑

Story time.

We checked in on does in kidding stalls, like we always do. Everything was calm, comfortable, like nothing suspicious was about to happen.

Goat people know the routine you plan, you prepare, you check cameras more times than you’ll ever admit.

A little while later we check again … and Babs had quietly delivered three doelings, completely unassisted, like it was just another task on her daily list.

No chaos. No panic. No calling for help.

Just one solid mama doing exactly what she was made to do.

Moments like this are gentle reminder to trust our does and their instincts.

💛🐐

New bedding.
Full feeders.
And one goat standing there like she pays rent.

Be honest… who do you think actually runs this farm? 🐐👇

Well… turns out someone wrote a due date down wrong 🙃 (let’s be honest it was definitely me)

We had a first freshener decide to kid in the middle of the night in the doe pen instead of a kidding stall like we normally do. Being a first timer, she wasn’t quite sure what to do and walked away from her baby.

Enter Lady in Red — aka Mother Hen.
Shes worth her weight in gold. And retired from having babies of her own but she doesn’t care whose kid it is, what time it is, or how it got there. If there’s a baby that needs help, she’s on it. She cleaned him up and stood guard all night like it was her full-time job.

This little buckling was discovered at 4am when my mom checked the cameras when she got up for work.

Baby boy is now inside, wrapped in a heated blanket, warming up and has already downed a bottle of colostrum like a champ 💪🍼

It really does take a village… and sometimes that village has four legs ❤️🐐

This is devestating news.

Last night, LeRoy Satter and his wife Loraine experienced a fire that completely destroyed LeRoy’s shop, which housed all of his 2026 kids, a lifetime of valuable equipment, and two large tanks of expensive and mostly irreplaceable buck semen, his tractor, as well as all of his supplies to care for his herd. Tragically, all of the baby goats in the shop were lost. While we are incredibly grateful that the fire did not spread to their home, the emotional and financial loss is overwhelming.
For those who know LeRoy, you know he is more than a goat breeder. He is an ADGA District 7 Director, a leader, a mentor, and a constant source of support in our goat community. He has always shown up for others—now he and Loraine need us to show up for them.
A GoFundMe has been started to help them replace essential supplies and begin rebuilding the structure that was lost. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as important.

🐐 Goat friends near Tillamook, OR: If you’re able to help with clearing debris or other hands-on support, please consider reaching out.

Please help us support LeRoy and Loraine during this incredibly difficult time and remind them they are not alone.

Welcome to the world, little buckling 🐐
This guy decided to get a little too comfortable in the birth canal, so mom needed a helping hand. A quick assist, some teamwork, and out he came strong, and very much ready to make his debut.

This is what assisted kidding looks like: recognizing when progress stalls, helping safely, and making sure both mom and baby get off to a good start.

And no…. I don’t look glamorous at all here 😂 but that’s farming. Messy boots, messy hair, birthing goo in unimaginable places and the absolute best moments you can imagine 💛

Equal parts science, instinct, and a whole lot of love 💛 Farm life keeps you humble… and on your toes.

Well… it’s been a wild evening around here! 😅
After Viper kidded this morning, three more does kidded back-to-back like they had a group chat we weren’t invited to.

That puts us at 7 babies total so far 🤍
✨ 3 doelings
✨ 4 bucklings

Kidding season is officially in full swing, and we’re tired, happy, and a little amazed at these mamas. Stay tuned… something tells us they’re not done yet 👀🐐💕
